Well it basically has to include SNES, PS1/2 and the N64

the last spot is a toss-up IMO

1. Ps2. Not my personal favorite but, it just did sooo many things right, its not even funny. And the amount of consoles it sold and is STILL selling, almost 4 years into the next gen thats never ever happened. And the amount of games it has is insane

2. Sega Genesis- While it may not have had the flagship Zelda or Metroid titles. Genesis had a far bigger library than the Super Nintendo. Sega hammered there gamers with stellar and incredibly original and unique games all year long, while nintendo was just getting its footing into the next gen. Nintendo didnt start to win the public over till 1994, about 6 years after the genesis was released so i mean how big of a victory is that? and if it wasnt for the release of the sega genesis, who knows when Nintendo would have released a new console. Look at the original Gameboy, took them 9 years just because they had no competition.

3. Super Nintendo- Its library is simply one of the best ever, games today that are just so much fun that they take my attention away from current gen games. An amazing controller. This console no matter what i believe is either number 2 or 3 depending on what system you like better the genesis or super nintendo

4. NES- A system so good it took an audience that was disgusted by videogame consoles, and made them realize that videogames can be awesome, and they were hear to stay.

5. Psone- While its success may only be because of its competitors failures to make a console that was dev friendly or had a reasonable amount of space to put games onto, and was affordable, its library was unsurpassed back in the day, while its titles may not stand up todays standards it paved the way for what the future of 3d console gaming would really be like

PS1, it was released in like 1994, back when snes and sega genesis was putting out 16 bit side scrollers the ps1 was putting out sickness 3. N64, countless hours of fun playing mario kart 64, goldeneye, ken griffye babseball, kobe bryant basketball, mario 4. Sega genesis, kiddy games and mature games, long lifespan, from 1989-1997 5. Ps2 is NOT the best system ever made. It is a great system, I use mine a lot, but to say it is the best console ever, just no.....And Ps3 doesn't belong anywhere near the top 5.

No, I didn't. It is a fact. None of the consoles this gen did anything revolutionary but the Wii, but most gamers hate it.
