Ok Heavy Rain!!! what are SW's impression?

Ok got the game yesteray and played today for a couple of hours and its.. AMAZING!.. god even tho it could be a little sad the game is beautiful and its just diffrent from any other game out there, im tired of freaking shooters, game is worth it! this gen keeps getting better and better and can honestly say this gen is far better than last gens!.. what are everyones impressions on Heavy Rain? ( only if you played the game that is )

Great game once you start to get in the thick of the plot its unreal how well the story progresses. I just hope this game doesn't go the route of Indigo Prophecy that would be a real shame.

I just started the game last night, haven't gotten very far yet but I really like it so far. I've been avoiding these kinds of threads like the plague to avoid ANY spoilers.

havent played it yet (renting it tomorrow) but to me, it seems like a must-play game. but i probably wont buy it. it comes off as a 1 time experience

hows to replayability or is this a definite rent?

i heard brad on the giantbomb cast saying the 'finger twister' bits are pretty tough (holding 4 buttons and rapidly hitting another). has anyone else found this. will find out myself tonight when i get to play it

Easily the best game on the PlayStation, very close to best game ever. It's not very long, but what you get is an experience unlike anything you've never seen.

I have a few problems with it that completely take me out of the experience, but it's pretty interesting so far.

Loved the ride the story takes you on, it's very well written. Really got into the game and just wanted to make sure the outcome for every character was a positive one. Great graphics and voice acting. Shame it's a one and done experience for the most part, unless the DLC branches off to secondary chracters or something.

I am tempted to buy it but I will wait a few days.

Cool game, very interesting, but the controls suck. I mean so many things could just be done with an action button (x). Having to move the sticks up, down, side to side, or out with a swoop just to cause action is a bit of over kill. Having to hold down the R2 to walk instead of just pushing on the stick...over kill.

Other than the controls the game is very good so far. It's way better than I expected, and thank goodness it was not the quick time event fiasco that everyone expected.

I dont rly know what i should think about this game(movie?). Story is interesting but the feeling i get is more like watching a movie, so i maybe just rent/buy a good thriller there i dont need puch any buttons to watch:/

it's very fun, and the story keeps you glued to the screen, though it might be a little slow-paced, but that's the nature of the game My biggest problem with it is the text makes it hard to read what's on screen, even when the screen isn't shaking due to the story, I do have an SD tv and that might be a problem. The second level, if I play through again, when it's the snack time for the kid, I should try to take the beer out of the fridge and give it to him.juden41

Personally i loved the place where Jaden ( the Cop) changes the whole place into a diffrent background i kept woowing over it lol( ended up with the space background )

I love the game so far. Great change of pace from others and amazing story. I've been avoiding all posts on the game and didn't read much into this one so I hope others like it because I do.

It's amazing. I'm playing through it for the first time and only found out who the Origami Killer was about 10 minutes ago. The story is fantastic and the way things start to come together in the last third of the game is really, really awesome. There was one choice in particular that I really didn't want to have to make, so I had to pause the game for a few minutes because I genuinely didn't want to make a decision, which is something I've never experienced in a game before. The game grabbed me from the start and didn't let go.

The only thing that pisses me off is the way that the cop says origamimrmusicman247

I hate the way everyone says origami(seriously, pick a damn pronunciation and stick with it! And don't say oh-ra-gehy-me.

Its a breath of fresh air from all the shooters.
