OK, here it goes....Batman Arkham Asylum is the greatest 2009 game so far....

Just beat it last night. It did have some picky flaws, but all in all this game is pure awesome. Eidos deserves a HUGE award for this.

Thoughts on how u feel about the title?

Fantastic game. One of my top 3 of 2009 without a doubt, and here's hoping that Rock Steady get to work on not just the Batman sequel, but the Urban Chaos sequel 8)

Didn't think much of the Demo as well. But bought the game and it's night and day difference. You owe it to yourself to buy this one!

It just needs to deliver.
I was picking between pc and ps3 version. PC was 50 ps3 was 65. In the end i picked the ps3 version (comes with some extra batman outfit (?) and joker challenges) mostly because i prefer ps3 controller for 3rd person action games.

if little king story were a little bit more forgiving i would choose that one but damn the last few kingdoms are tough to conquer

Eh, Haven't played it yet, haven't played demo, I hate em, I wanna pick this game up though. But it's gotta be a great game to top InFAMOUS.

Also the whole, should I get it for PS3 or 360 battle in my head. I use ps3 for ps3 exclusives but it does have extra features. I'm not gonna lie though I like achievements more then trophys.

I'd have to give best of 2009 to Demon's Souls, too much epicness.

You're a 360 only owner right TC, maybe that's why you feel that way? I think KZ2 is the best this year so far.

I say its one of the greatest. I still like infamous a bit more. I just think people are so happy that there is finally a good batman game that they are going nuts and calling it the best thing ever.

I don't agree with that. The camera is just too much. My GOTY so far is LOTR Conquest which is essentially a glorified last-gen conversion.

I haven't played it but it looks great even if a bit short but with titles coming out like Uncharted 2,New Super Mario Bros Wii and possibly Gran Turismo 5 I doubt it will be the GOTY.

lookin forward to pickin it up. tempted to buy it for the 360 but gonna hold on for the pc version. it'll have to be really good to beat empire total war though

It wasn't very good, I got kind of excited the first time I saw gameplay footage of batman swinging around from gargoyle to gargoyle. But as a saw more of the game, I started to lose interest. And when I finally got to play the game I was disappointed.

I wouldn't say it was that bad, it was an awesome co-op experience and if all action games were like that it would be a better industry, but that was the problem.

I would have liked a level where in one of the facilities you have one guy carrying the torch and the other doing the shooting looking for a generator on one of the lower floors while doing a more traditional style puzzle (there is a door that you must pass but you have to explore the facility and find keys, files etc). There should have been traditional zombies in these facilities (why not? Lickers can pass the virus on last I heard). It would have beaten the areas where enemies had assault rifles, that was just lame.

There were also too many lickers... those enemies are supposed to be few and far between because of how agile and fast they are, plus hard to kill. Instead there were just hordes of braindead lickers that seem to be half docile when they get close enough.
