5 ten minute videos of pure bliss. The story seems amazing. I normally don't notice the story in JRPG because they are normally the same. However LO seems to be quite interesting and unique itself. Even Sakuguchi said he made Lost Odyssey for fans of RPGs. If you are indeed a fan you can definately see a lot of work was put into this game. The game is way better than Blue Dragon based on these first 50 minutes alone. Also I hear the game is quite difficult.

Seems the difficulty is very hard, which is good compared to BD (which was very easy), and the music, visuals and story are top notch.

LO is one of my most anticipated games of '08...

Watched the first 3 of those vids last night and honestly, it looks amazing.

However...a few things kinda pissed me off...

1. Why do all the soldiers have exactly the same face? :|

2. Voice acting seems kind of lame :(

3. Kaim's running/walking animations seem a little choppy :?

4. What's up with the long pauses when the game shifts from cutscene to gameplay? Is this a lack of player input or the game locking up for some reason?

None of my complaints are major and to be honest I've almost come to expect these hindrances in jRpgs.

Still looks to be fairly epic and after the FF series has decided to destroy itself ( FFXII combat system: I'm looking at you :P) LO should providethe "classic" jRpg experience I've been craving. TURNBASED, the way it should be :).

However, the last two FF games pretty much sucked...LO might give FFXIII a run for it's money.

You have to remember, jRpg fans (especially the Japanese) LOVE turn-based battles. The "gambit" system cost FFXII a crapload of sales...FFXIII is recycling this system with a few minor tweaks :?

Yeah, I need to pre-order this game. I'm not surprised that it's better then Blue Dragon. Even Eternal Sonata was better then Blue Dragon. I still can't wait for Infinite Undiscovery and I'm curious as to how Cry On is turning out. I haven't heard anything new on it for a long time.

I actually thought BD and DQ8 where fairly similar, and enjoyed both equally. Neither had great stories, very basic, whichfor me is the most important aspect for a jrpg. This reason inparticular is why i'm really looking forward to LO.

I looks like a very good game. Too bad it's on the wrong console, though.

I especially like the vibe that the world isn't perfect, and the bad guys aren't pure bad. It's not black and white, which is a huge flaw in JRPGs, and that makes me wish other games would take note in the genre and try to craft better storylines.

To be honest I was beginning to doubt whether I would buy this game or not, however these videos have certainly changed my mind :D

Definitily, if I missed one of those I would probably revert all the way back to my previous save just to see it. The intro is probably one of the best I've seen too.

Looks fantastic the story sounds awesome and the graphics are pretty good.

You know, you're right about that 5th video. Got pretty funny at the end haha.

Also, I see what was said about the animation of the characters, but it wasn't a big deal at all.

You know what i find funny? When someone says the story is amazing or the best they ever played and the story is really just about a mad man who wants to destroy the world and mister infamous comes and saves the day.
