Look at the digital foundry articles for FF13 and ME2. For the PS3, FF13 was clearly superior but the tone of the article seems to downplay that and just say what SquareEnix could've done to make the game work better for 360. For ME2, the article sweeps PS3s advantages under the rug and embraces the 360s advantages. Eurogamers credibility is completely lost.

Digital Foundry is not Eurogamer. Eurogamer just hosts their articles.

Also, ME2 PS3 looks worse than the 360 version.

This is indeed true. With all the fuss about PS3's ME2 being made with the new engine and all I thought it would at least look on par.

Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 doesn't even look as good as the 360 version so I wouldn't get to upset.

I love love a good self ownage thread. As common as they are in system wars, it never gets old.

I've played more than my share of ME and the PS3 version isn't impressive at all. One would expect it to be miles better than the existing versions, but it just isn't the case in any regard.

Maybe next time all of the gloating should be reserved until things fully play out.

Yeah right. I looked at the comparisons on both DF and Lens of Truth and I like the 360 version more. They managed to ruin the faces with the new lightning.

But then again, this is BioWare. They're just a bit better than Bethesda when it comes to technical (in)competence.

Actually no.Character lighting is better because that update in UE3 came 5 months ago and sharpness is surely not better since ME2 on ps3 has no AA.

That's funny, that is the one thing where PS3 versions sucks the most. PS3 uses local static lights while the 360 has global lighting.

Im glad everyone is saying that ME2 looks worse on PS3. I downloaded the demo and saw the game and just shrugged. Basically I figured if THAT"S what Lems are bragging about, the PS3 had NOTHING to worry about in the graphics department. ME2 on PS3 was ugly imo.

1Stark1 it took you this long to figure out that DF is the worst at being biased? They always down play the PS3's strength and talk only about the 360's strength. It was their mission from the start of this generation to make sony look bad. At least it seems that way to me, don't know about the rest of you.

They are not biased... the truth sometimes hurts though. They have done VERY positive articles on the tech found in Uncharted 2 / Killzone 2 etc.

I thought exactly the same thing. When an X360 port is superior they say things like the X360 has this and that, the PS3 is weaker in this department and blah blah blah. When a PS3 port is superior they always say that both versions are equal but that the PS3 had this but the devs could have made the X360 version better if they did that.

This thread's going nowhere cus people in System Wars don't believe in conspiracy theories, not even when they have proves in front of their face.

from what ive seen is that they both have advantages over one another, for example the ps3 has better character lighting and has better shadowing at times, but lacks normal mapping in some textures, no AA, and looks wierd at times because the game and its assets werent really made for the newer engine. So as they say right in DF, its a matter of personal preference. PC still wins though :P

With FF13, PS3 has issues with frame rates.
