Alan Wake...another abandoned 360 exclusive. Makes the Xbox less of a value when it keeps sharing too many games with its rivals. No proper way to distinguish itself (in games) from its competitors.

Does your peasant brain realize that Alan Wake actually was planned for PC before M$ decided to steal it. The game is now butchered and unreaparable.

Whether the PC has it or not has no bearing on the other two platforms. The game still isn't on the PS3 or Wii which would be considered the 360's main rivals.
It doesn't matter for consolites. Anyways, I gather that almost everyone from SWs hate the PC as a gaming platform and they would never spend a single money on hardware or software so in the end it is still an exclusive to lemmings because cows will never be able to play it. Miroku32
I have a pc that i bought for the sole purpose of playing games on my tv, now as it turns out im only interested in a hand full of titles on the pc. no jrpg's, action/adventure/platofrmers, fighting or various other genres really exist on the pc. not to mention the constant tweaking to make the games run/look right. know what's easier? having a console.
MS losing all their exclusives reminds me of the beginning of this gen when Final Fantasy, GTA IV and Mercenaries became multiplat and probably had a big impact on PS3's sales (especially in the case of GTA IV I'd imagine). Its not as bad now though I think, since its so damn late and MS has a foothold on PC gaming, plus Alan Wake isn't exactly GTA caliber amazing and game changing that would seriously affect what people pick. I don't think a bunch of people were on the fence on PC vs Xbox gaming with Alan Wake.
lmao. They have plenty of exclusives, if you own a Kinect that is.
Sorry, but that's the new Microsoft business model.

Butchered state? oh this shiit again  It was announced in 2005 for PC and Consoles. What they showed was essentially a tech demo from when they had the open world plan, which they scrapped after realising it wouldn't work with the narrative they were going for. Remedy are also only around 40 strong, so presumably they felt it was too ambitious from their perspective too. Deal with what the final product is (and has been for a long time) or frankly, shut the hell up.PC and xbox shared another exclusive, not really news. 360 stole Alan Wake anyway, we're just getting it back in a butchered state I might add.

This. From all the information I can find it was announced as a multiplatform title.Alan Wake was never planned to be an exclusive, so no.. it's not ridiculous.

I don't know too many people in real life that have consoles and a capable gaming rig.
All those 360/PC games like Alan Wake, L4D, Mass Effect 1 are huge pluses the 360 has over the PS3/Wii. Of course for SW purposes cows love to use the PC as a reason not to own a 360 lawl

It was also announced to be open world and have a day night cycle and driving, so things can change. In this case, they double changed (meant for PC too, then not meant for PC, then meant for PC again).

I'm not sure about that. I think it was console exclusive on Xbox, because it would not be available on the Wii nor the PS3, but only CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE.
It was cancelled to the PC and now it will be revived, I can't see the problem.. Xbox was never famous for the exclusives. Halo, Gears of War and Forza are the only ones worth to play.
It confuses me, especially when we're comparing libraries exclusively between PS3 and 360 re: the metagame. For some reason we like to exclude a title because it's elsewhere...but if you're choosing between a 360 and PS3 solely, you wouldn't go "oh no, Alan Wake doesn't count because I can build a pc and play it on that !"I don't know too many people in real life that have consoles and a capable gaming rig.

That probably won't last either since Kinect is coming to PC :P

This is the earliest article I can find :P http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/8179/Xbox-360-Alan-Wake-Announced-HD-720p-Trailer/ But yeah, it was a 'next-generation' console, which presumably = 360 :)[QUOTE="edidili"]Butchered state? oh this shiit again  It was announced in 2005 for PC and Consoles. It was supposed to be PC only. Stop kidding yourself.
they don't see the PC as a rival? I know here it is unheard of to think that way. But we are passionate about games. The general populace doesn't go to a gaming forum or get that excited about new graphics cards or processors. I liken it to a big car aficionado. Most use cars, can change the oil, etc. But couldn't be bothered to learn about some of the inner workings. I love games, have a PC, sometimes think I need to go build a great gaming rig. But in truth I just want to press and play. I know PC gaming isn't rocket science, but I don't want to invest a second in learning how to get a game running when I can pop it in and play on a console. It is people like this MS sells the 360 to.knowing full well, AW going PC means nothing to us. I have it on the 360, can't play it on ps3, and that's ok. The meta game of exclusives and hype really doesn't matter.Alan Wake...another abandoned 360 exclusive. Makes the Xbox less of a value when it keeps sharing too many games with its rivals. I don't mind...now what small ounce of regret for selling my 360 is now gone. I'm looking forward to playing Alan Wake on PC maybe clocking in another fifty hours in it.

Find me an article which states that? http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/8179/Xbox-360-Alan-Wake-Announced-HD-720p-Trailer/ This is the announcement of the game itself - it was announced as Vista exclusive, not PC IIRC. And regardless, that doesn't change my main point - why the hell are people dwelling on 6 years ago as though Remedy 'tricked' or 'owe' them anything.bla bla bla.... why are cows so insistant on trying to get everyone to believe that this alan wake information matters? Microsoft knows that having a game for a certain amount of time and saturating the console market with the game has run its course, It was a bundle game last year for christs sake, and now are putting it on their other platform the PC... Its not like any of you at this point were clammoring to get the game so whats the big deal? Exclusives don't have to stay exclusive forever and MS knows it... this isnt 1997 people. Doesnt effect the xbox 360 in one bit... good for PC gamers as for the rest of you bovine, you dont have a pc good enough to play the game and are most likely trolling out of your head.
yes but where are we now?Outside of arguing on SW, I dont think all this crap about AAAE means that much......

Didn't you hear? All cows have high end gaming rigs. Why they don't play most of their games on those super computers where resolutions and frame rates are higher, controls are better and the experience is just all around better is a still a mystery...Wouldnt they of lost the "Exclusive" if the games went on to the opposition? such as the PS3?
