As much as I love MGS4, theres only so many times I could repeatedly complete it.
Halo 3 probably wouldn't last me forever, but the multiplayer alone would undoubtedly last me longer than MGS4.
There is always Metal Gear Online, but I haven't bothered trying that because of all that Konami ID razmataz.
So im gonna go with Halo 3.
I'd say Halo 3 for two reasons: better multiplayer (which is something that would be more important the longer you are online) and the fact that you would be far more likely to have a headset to call for help with.thepwninatorno help
Do I have my credit cards with me so I can pay to upgrade my account to Gold? I might choose Halo 3 since more people would be on it rather than MGO, so more people would be able to hear my cries for help and come rescue me, after I explained to them that this island was devoid of all life yet somehow managed to have a working (guessing unsecured) network that I was able to log into.
I might actually choose MGS4 though, since I'm more of a single player gamer, and find MP to be a bit dull, along with my general disdain for humanity at large. I'd play MGO maybe once or twice a month, try to complete the campaign once a month, and then spend the rest of my time figuring out how exactly I'm getting an internet connection, and hopefully find some underground catacombs that answer my question but leave me horror stricken from the ungodly answers that I find.

Of those 2, I'd pick Halo, but I'd much rather have a good game, like BF.

its online rivals Halo 3
If you simply asked the question, "Which game do you like better?" the majority of people would have said Metal Gear Solid 4. Even so, I'm surprised Halo 3 is winning.
I choose Metal Gear Solid 4. That would most definitely suck to just have that one game, though...

PS3
my reasons,
1) Browser, so I can find plant/animal info so I can survive (cant you send a e-mail with both?)
2) Reliability, considering you cant send a 360 in ifit RRODs
3) I could download socom and warhawk (along with MGO) if I wanted to play shooters (if you couldn't pay for things how will you pay for XBLG?)
Considering you have unlimited access to electricity, internet and shelter on a "deserted" island the Hypothetical seems odd.
