Old Games that seriously look better than games today

Fear Effect 1 for the Ps1 looks waay better than any game today, and I'm not joking

FF8 still looks better than the FF's before and after it

Super Mario Bros. 3 still looks better than ALOT of games today because you never see those colors anymore.

REmake on the cube. if it just had better AA it would probably look just like a current gen game

Curse of Monkey Island looks better than anything to date.

Crysis. 2 years old and still the best looking game. :POther than that, I really don't know... Paper Mario I guess...

Banjo Tooie was pretty impressive, definetly up there in visual quality with some of the Wii games released now adays, and even on the XBLA it held up pretty well in its port.

HL2 on PC comes to mind. Also games like Okami and SotC, that don't shine for their techinical aspects, but for their amazing art.

Better looking than the games we see today on the wii?

Well i can think in a lot. Hundreds old games that look better tha Wii and some that are on par.

But as for ps3/360, some games wouldnt be better looking than nowdays but have graphics on par with some low budget games. Like god of war, shadow of colossus, halo, chronicles of riddick, okami, RE4 on gamecube and mario sunshine.

Some 2d or CG focused games like some mentioned by other people isnt very fair... and shouldnt be counted.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee holds up better than any PS1 game I've seen and holds up remarkably well when upscaled to 720p on my 60 gig PS3.

Definitely looks better than Tekken 3 in 720p, yech.

Pre-rendered games are so beautiful, and I miss them.

I've always been partial to Majora's Mask. Still love its graphics today.
