[QUOTE="MikeE21286"][QUOTE="Tungsten88"][QUOTE="SilverIce7"][QUOTE="Tungsten88"][QUOTE="SilverIce7"] -N64 and it's analog controller came out one year after the PS1. Funny enough, not long after Sony developed the "Dual Shock" controller.
-Took Square from Nintendo in the late 90's and made it their own flagship 3rd part developer
-They jumped on the motion-sensor bandwagon by copying the Wii control formula with "sixaxis"
-PS3 logo design stolen from Spiderman 2 film title
-Creation of a new online service that they claim will be "better" than XBox Live.....
......and now they copy Live Arcade/ Wii Virtual Console by releasing old titles on a service, starting with Mortal Kombat 2.
In the words of Rush Limbaugh, "this is really shameful, folks".

Oh come on. Sony publishes the Spiderman films so I guess all the anti-sonyists can't watch Spiderman anymore. And besides, Nintendo backstabbed Sony way back when they were developing the PS1. PS1 was originally a Nintendo product and they cut Sony's throat who decided to make the PS by themselves. And guess what? PS1 and 2 owned N64 and Gamecube, respectively. I'm not a big supporter of Sony at his point, but senseless criticism is just that, senseless.
Dude, it's actually the other way around. Nintendo was making a new cd-based system which they later scrapped. Sony took all the ideas Nintendo had up until that point, and like some vile identity thief digging through trash for vital information, then used whatever was there as a framework for their own console and took full credit for it. So no, Sony has been ripping off Nintendo from the very beginning!
I somehow doubt that.
"This contract had Sony creating a "Play Station" that would feature an SNES cartridge port and a CD slot for new, enhanced games. Problem was, this contract gave Sony complete control over any CD-based games that touched the system, Mario included. Once Nintendo's president, Hiroshi Yamauchi, realized that he would not have the final say on something with Nintendo's name on it, he demanded a solution that put Nintendo back in the saddle. The result was announcing the new partnership with Phillips during the 1991 CES trade show, despite the fact that Sony had just announced the Nintendo-powered Play Station the night before."
"This slap in the face was unheard of for several reasons. First, a Japanese company ditching another for a foreign rival was unspeakable. Second, such blatant disregard for contracts made the company appear like a power-hungry monster, always trying to get its way regardless of who it has to humiliate or crush "
How this is not Nintendo stabbing Sony in the back is beyond me............
Exactly. Everyone acts like Nintendo is so clean and friendly. The truth is that it has as many skeletons in the closet as Sony.
Well if you actually read what's there, you'd know that Nintendo had NO CHOICE but to partner with Philips because Sony Corp. had backed them into a corner.....they would have taken over all of Nintendo's franchises and had complete control over what was supposed to be a joint effort between a video game company and an electronics developer.
