After years of hardcore coding, the pride of the French economy finally did it...

Everything is forgiven now. Even that 30 fps movie experience PR shitstorm.
(not really).
I don't get it... is minimizing uplay a good thing ?
Uplay never had minimize to tray option before.
Still no option for Uplay to run on startup. Maybe in 5 years time they will come around to adding that huge upgrade.......

Who the hell wants Uplay running on startup?
If you need it that badly, just put a Uplay shortcut in your Startup folder or add a Task to do it.

Well usually, the 'X' at the top right of the window means exit the application, it's kinda annoying when you have to right click the toolbar icon to exit the program.
Why would you want to keep it running?
I don't keep any of these clients running when I'm not playing a game that needs one of them.

Why wouldn't I want that option, given that all Ubisoft games have to run through Uplay?

It's convenient.
I've considered Uplay as okay ever since it started doing Offline Mode correctly. Same goes for Origin. That's the only thing I really care about with regards to these clients.
Now, it would be great if the client closed when I closed the game. None of the three does that.At least Uplay is on a window ready to be closed. The other two hide in the tray.

Yeah, it's a good feature. I didn't see it before.
A while back, about a year, Uplay kept updating on me every time I started it up. And everytime it downloaded an update for 5-10mins at 9kb/s or something.
So it's a good feature. Now they should remove the requirement of needing uplay for all ubisoft games next :)
I thought this had something to do with Beyond Good and Evil 2 :( .. The only game I want from Ubi after I got bored to death with the rest of their games like AssCreed, Watchdogs, and FarCry which focus on tasks pointed out to you on the map and you just go around doing them and even the tasks aren't fun .. Burn to death Ubi !!!
Now that it can run in the tray I actually leave it running.
Does it take up more of your pc than say steam or origin ?
Just tried that.
Without any client:
Steam:
Origin:
Uplay:
It would appear Uplay is in fact the biggest resource hog, but nothing major really.
Thanks for this !
Alright, so nothing that would impact playing games. Not even if you leave all three running.
Most of the time I let steam run in the background while I close Origin and Uplay after I'm done playing a game on that.
But I think I'll leave Uplay running if I jump back from playing AC4 and other games.
