OMG COD 5 is Amazing!!

Ok I was probably the biggest COD4 fanboy there was and i use to think that no other FPS would come close to COD4, I even thought infinity ward themselves couldnt outdo there own COD4 when they made the new COD... Well COD5 has proved me wrong big time! I dont even know where to begin.. well for starters the game is downright AMAZING! And as much as im suprised to say this, its better than COD4.. actually A lot better! the graphics are the best ive seen on any console this gen so far, the sound effects are amazing, the frame rate is also the smoothest ive seen on any game this gen, the controls are spot on and perfect. The single player campaign is AMAZING! I was very skeptical about this game since it was going back to the old WW2 era but this game is dark, gloomy, pulls no punches, has great pacing and never a dull moment! The multiplayer feels a lot more balanced, and the best part of this game i think is even though the weapons are older WW2 weapons, they still feel very modern for some reason.

i dunno what you're talking about - they're the same bloody game. i don't know how you could call one terrible and one god when WaW is basically an historically inaccurate mod of COD4. all they did was change 1-2 perks, added historically inaccurate lame scopes to rifles that never had them in WWII, made some new maps, and voila. 

it's the same bloody game.  

terrible game imo, deleted beta from my drive before it was over, so did my mates. guess it appeals to a different crowd. to each their own i guess - but personally i won't support a game that throws historical accuracy aside when it used to pride it just to appeal to people that are more 'action' oriented. it's sad honestly. to me at least.

it's like Rambo in WWII... so lame. honestly makes me feel bad. and the adverts they're running for it on Remem Day is just absolutely atrocious. i won't touch this one with a ten foot pole and have lost all respect for Treyarch.

or WWII history buffs that can't stand how Treyarch butchered the hell out of it. you have to treat this material with respect, and this time they didn't.

i love WWII games and history, and loved Treyarch's COD3, but this game is a travesty - it's disrespectful to those that served, and is far too similar to COD4 in nearly every aspect.

How it can be an expansion if its set back again to WW2 and doesn't relate anything to COD4 beside the engine???

Got you on that one did I? :-)yea sure it somewhat have the same stuff like from COD4, but it different and it more like a sequel then a expansion

I thought the same thing after i played the beta, but then I bought the real game and WOW, i was blown away.. the only thing similar is the game engine, other than that.. COD5 is superior to COD4

if i was shallow and just went by review scores that would make sense i guess.

too bad i put some thought in to other things, like the people that died for our freedom in WWII. of course an action packed MTV treatment of WWII will score well with gamers - does it sit well with me? hell no. i care too much i guess. i don't like seeing people profit over BS historically inaccurate portrayals of events that people sacrificed their lives for the freedom of all.

its more the subject matter, the advertisements, the lack of respect, and lack of historical accuracy that get me personally. the game could be great fun, i won't touch it out of respect. call me a baby, call me whatever.  

and the multiplater beta was terrible imo, full of glitchers and played identical to COD4. if you squinted your eyes you couldn't tell the difference.

does a mod for a game have to be the same theme? no.

this is a new set of skins (player models) new maps, most of the same perks, same engine, same ballistics, same penetration. it is a MOD more than it is anything else. it is far too similar to COD4 in nearly every respect IMO.

and FYI this is considered a side 'expansion' just like the old COD PS2 spin-offs, it's not COD5. even the devs said that.
