[QUOTE="XenogearsMaster"]Famitsu isn't really credible.murat8I thought Famitsu was one of the most respected reviewers in Japan at least thats what ive heard/read
the only perfect score fanboys !
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo; Nintendo 64)
- Soul Calibur (Namco; Dreamcast)
- Vagrant Story (Square; PlayStation)
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Nintendo; Gamecube)
- Nintendogs (Nintendo; Nintendo DS)
- Final Fantasy XII (Square Enix; PlayStation 2)
and now ssbb
"Since Famitsu's inception in 1986, only six other titles have garnished the full pelt of 40/40, those games being Ocarina of Time, SoulCalibur, Vagrant Story, The Wind Waker, Nintendogs and Final Fantasy XII."
so it's not like perfect scores are just given away by famitsu

don't forget blue dragon, they gave that a 40/40. Then they gave Mass Effect a really bad score now how is that credible?

For the same reason western reviewers flopped blue dragon... different tastes. Is that so hard to understand?
Famitsu isn't really credible.XenogearsMaster
whos more credible... the top gaming magazine in Japan, or a shaddy website who fires their reviewers for shady reasons saying that it wasn't shady at all only to have MORE reviewers leave because they didn't agree with them firing the first reviewer which pretty much wipes away the corporate bs showing that it was their shady business tactics...

Famitsu gave Blue Dragaon a 37/40

They're easily influenced by advertising to give high scores, but that doesn't mean they'll give out perfect scores for the sake of advertising. Only six games before SSBB have received perfect Famitsu scores, and all were AAA titles here, too.

No.
Good news for the fans but I have never really cared for Nintendo games, with the exception being theZelda series (which is getting old)and the first Metroid Prime. Sure, they can be fun but they are just not my thing.. Call me casual, but I do consider them to be too kiddy for my taste. I would ratherhave the new Soul Calibur or Tekken games.
So I'll pass on this, just like I passed on Mario Galaxy. SSBB will be a game that I'll play over at my friends place and I'm sure I'll have fun but I wouldn't buy it myself.
Hmm, lets see here.
Blue Dragon 37/40 but here on GS it got a 6/10 !
SSBB 40/40 but here at GS 7/10 ?
I dunno if the sheep should really be claiming perfection based on Famitsu reviews.
It's a - we shall see kind of thing.

Blue Dragon was a "courtesy" score, out of respect to Sakaguchi. But Famitsu only gives 40/40 to games that deserve it.

There is a difference between a crap JRPG and a good JRPG you know, it has nothing to do with taste. Blue Dragon SUCKED.
37/40 is practically perfect.. FF12 in noway deserved a perfect score :| Neither did Nintendogs.

You are aware that the translation of blue dragon was terrible, right? RIGHT!?
lame! i have to pretend i don't like wii so my dad will get one, if i show the slightest inkling of interest to SSBB i will have to get a wii myself. Doh!hongkingkonglol politics
why are people saying famitsu isn't a credible source? so they overrate a few games. so does every other publication.
we didn't stop respecting gamespot reviews when they gave perfect dark zero and warioware AAA, or when they gave tony hawks a 10.
methinks fanboys are trying to downplay the significance of getting a 40/40 from japans most renowned reviewers.

The bad translation had nothing to with BD sucking, BD was overall a generic JRPG, nothing special about it, it lacked substance, it had a bad storyline, annoying characters you couldn't care less about, average soundtrack and annoying battle/boss themes. The game was a rush job to get the Japanese to buy the 360. It was never really ment to sell well in the first place.
That seems rather biased to me.Heil68Just because it's a high score?
Would it seem biased if it were a 32/40?
