OMG! Mass Effect has the worst acting since Resident Evil

my hype for mass effect has been drowned out by Halo 3, Rock Band, and Call of Duty 4

Im just talking about the acting part, remember in the 1st resident evil for the PSone how the voice acting was terrible, well mass effect is on that level as far as voice acting

Im glad im not the only one, I couldnt believe it. I was watching those mass effect videos with the developer walkthrough and how the dev was saying that the acting is good and they want us to be able to connect with the characters, ummm yea they need a lot of work on that

Dont get me wrong Mass effect as a game looks downright amazing and im still getting it, but my God, whats the deal with that generic, monotone voice acting?!?! I was watching some of the vids and the acting literally made me sleepy. Now the gameplay on the other hand looks amazing along with the graphics, but The acting is the worst acting ive seen since the 1st resident evil, you cant really connect with the characters , it seems like they are just reading off a script.. Please tell me this will be fixed before the final game releasesMikeCOD80

Come on, lets be real for a second. You can honestly tell me that Mass effect has good voice acting. I mean the game itself will be awesome, but come on man. Dont be afraid to admit that the voice acting is sub par

I think the voice acting is pretty good for a bioware game (never really been there strong suit). Its better then some, worse then others but overall its well above par ;)

Just take everything with a grain of salt and you'll be fine :D

I think the voice acting is great. What you don't understand is that this is a sci-fi game in the same vein as Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, etc. When was the last time any of these shows/movies sounded like a drama or soap opera? You either don't understand the genre, or you just don't particularly like the voice acting style that Bioware is going for. Its no accident that Bioware is using this style, and its too bad that this is going to spoil the game for you. I know what you mean though, because I'm the same way with Nintendo's cliche stories in every one of their games, or the Metal Gear series' over-the-top cornyness.

Still getting it, but that's pretty damn funny.

That, and in all videos, during chatting, the characters move like robots. Very weird.

Nevertheless, should be a great game.
