[QUOTE="dracula_16"]It's still the best multiplayer game of the year. If liking SSBB makes me a fanboy then so be it. I truly could not care less.-Jiggles-
Enjoying the game doesn't make anybody, specifically you, a fanboy. I could enjoy playing Big Rigs and still not be a PC fanboy. If you like SSBB, good for you, enjoy it as long as you like.
What the article is saying, though is that a lot of people like SSBB only because it has many Nintendo characters within it. Although that's definiately not the case for many people here and abroad, it does apply for a vast amount of people.
I remember a topic way back where somebody said they should make a "Super Sony Bros" game, which would play exactly like Brawl except you'd use Sony characters. A lot of people said the idea was either incredibly stupid or very interesting. That being said, a lot of those people who said it was stupid were sheep and the people who thought it was interesting were cows (according to their past history of posts I've seen).
Fanboyism has a lot to do with how much a person likes games, sadly. This only applies to actual fanboys though. If you're neutral on how you feel about different companies, then you'll enjoy many games found on different platforms from different companies.
a sony smash bros wouldnt work because sony simply dont have as vast an array of characters to use as nintendo does. As well as character roster you would also have to consider assist trophies, the poke balls, the famous stages the music. there are numerous reasons why a sony smash bros wouldnt be as good.
