I always preffered PS 3 versions of Souls Trilogy for easy matchmaking and controls, but having no PS 4 this gen.i'll go with PC version of Dark Souls III with Dual Shock 3 connected for fluid controls.
Well? :)

XOne, already preordered, loved the first DS but I'm currently still going back and forth with DS2(enhanced edition), it is a fun game but I'm finding it a little too similar to DS1, hopefully DS3 will feel more fresh.
PS4. I reallllly want to play this with a sweetfx profile and skin mods but i know for a fact that the pc playerbase will be smaller and will be filled with hackers. I'd pay money for this game to become a crossplatform with Xbone+PC+PS4 or at least PC+ps4. The Souls games have no reason to no be crossplatform just like SFV.
Thinking PC for 60 FPS but I have no idea how reliable and full of cheaters it'll be compared to PS4 since it's From Software.
How was DS2 in this regard?
if you don't care about pvp, pc is the way to go. If you care about invasions, stay far from the pc version OR buy it and experience the pain on your own. DkS2 had a metric ton of hackers.
Xbox One, I just prefer playing all the multiplatform games on it. Unless it's a broken port then I guess PS4.
PC, I'm not going to reduce the quality of the game (talking about me not being a sucker who has playstation plus) just to play it on console.
I would have gotten it on ps4 but sony shot themselves in the foot.
Xbone is my console this gen so I'll be getting it for that, but probably not this year, I'll wait until it's cheap. Only game I want to purchase brand new this year is Yooka Laylee, unless Xbone gets another stellar compilation of games like they have the past 2 years.

the pc will probably have cheats again, so no thanks, that ruins the game.
Besides, it's not like the game won't look good on current gen systems.
I am going to get this for the ps4 though, the stick placement may be a bit akward but the buttons are more ergonomic for me (and with that kind of abuse, that's a good thing)
The thing is, I don't want to buy a game that is nerfed if I don't pay for a subscription for online.
PC means you don't have to pay for subscription for online.
PS4/Xbox One means you have to be pay for subscription or your game (whenever you play it) will have a nerfed experience.
I do this with all non exclusive multiplayer benefited games.

Cross Platform multiplayer would be nice i have a lot of psn Soul friends and it would be awesome being able to play with them on pc, plus the benefit of more players on the servers.
Unless we have an Arkham Knight situation on our hands, PC. Luckily I don't do the "day 1" shit, so I'll know well in advance.
PS4, but not for a while. I'm good at buying Souls games, poor at actually finishing them.
^
Also, that lol. I mean, I do always finish them. But damn it does it take some time. I'm usually wrapping up one Souls game on the heels of the next release.
