once MGS4 comes out i think peeps wil forget about the 360 IMO

lets face it most of the xbox360's supposed currentAAA's are shooters that will be forgotten when the next installments come out......

the only game worth remembering is bioshock on hte 360

MGS series every installemnt is unique and always remembered MGS4 will be no different and will blow every 360 game away in overall quality, storyline, atmosphere etc........

now between now and then 360 has mass effect and halo 3 so those 2 could be up with bioshock level quality and change everything

but IMO MGS4 is the beginning of ps3's rise to power

Now, I can only speak for myself at this point.. but I can agree that i might forget about the 360 the week i get MGS4.. but once im done with MGS I'll propably play some new releases for the 360...

Now about comparing MGS to every other game is kinda wrong.. I will still play SMG,SSBB, Alan Wake, fable 2 ect...

So, NO it wont change anything..

If you truely believe this, i cant wait to se the expression on your face whan the world keeps turning after MGS4 is released..

Do us a favour and take a picture of your face the weeks after MGS4 is released..

its true though every game on 360 with the exception of bioshock is forgettable

MGS4 is one of the greats that will be remembered for decades like the other MGS games......

I think MGS4 may be a good game, athough sometimes Kojima gets too wrapped up in the cutscenes and the convoluted storytelling than the actual gameplay. My favorite game in the series was the original Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation. The bosses were awesome and the gameplay was great, too. The final boss fight was one of the greatest segments in a video-game I have ever experienced. Since then, however, I feel the series has been kind of going downhill. Metal Gear Solid 2 wasn't nearly the masterpiece I expected. By the end, the story line was pretty much laughable.

MGS4 looks like it could be cool, but again, we just keep seeing cutscenes. Oh, you wanna see gameplay? Hmm, well look at this new cutscene instead! And the gameplay we have seen is kind of awkward, i.e., Snake's 'nad' grabbing move and 'ground humping' sneak attack, lol. I'm just not sure what to think of it.

Nevertheless, I'm sure I'd still probably enjoy the game, and I imagine I'll get to play it eventually, since more and more evidence seems to suggest the game will be ported over to Xbox 360 as well.

The xbox sold around 24mill units there are 5 mill copies of halo that is 20.8% install base. Then halo 2 sold 8 mill copies that equates to a third of xbox's not counting anybody who picked the game up for the 360.

The ps2 sold a gazillion copies but we will round it to around 120mill units mgs3 sold around 4mill copies(half the units halo 2 sold)so mgs3 has an install base of 3.3%.

Now whileMGS4 game may persuade me to pony up for a ps3 don't think it can be said for everybody.

The 360 might be secoundary but nah Ill spend all my gaming hours on my PC by september.

3.3% intall base compared to halo 2 33.3% install base it might help sales but it can not really be called a system seller.

As if MGS 4 comes out and then later that week, Nintendo and MS close up shop for good.

It will probably be a great game, but time will pass quickly and other great games will continue to come out on all systems.

I mean Sony has been late for just about everything and may just bring out a tech demo in a year just like GT4 sooooo - M.E. 2 just may hit before MGS 4.

Yeah that game was amazing nothing too crazy or insane great cutscenes and if had the gameplay like in MGS4 then it would have been absolutely amazing.

I have played every MGS game (including the GB version) and MGS2 is by far my favorite.It's one of my top 5 games of all time.

If you're going to refer back to MGS3 and not subsistance, why not go all the way back to MGS2, which got a 9.6? The last two MGS games got 9.0s here on Gamespot.
