Will 3rd party devs be jumping ship to the 360/PS3 if they haven't already?

Also it has the potential to sell very well. It's a pity Ubisoft are being lazy and not advertising at all. Look how well Red Steel did because it was advertised, and that's not even a good game.
NMH may actually do well sales-wise even though it may appear as a niche title. The game has a hot a chick, a cool main character, a crazy story line & lots of blood. What's not to like ?
Sure just like Devs jumped off the PS2 bandwagon when games like Ico and Okami didn't do well. Puh-leezee, No More Heroes is a wacky non-mainstream japanese game. The fact that Guitar Hero and both Resident Evil games sold very well on the Wii shows that the mainstream 3rd party games cand and will sell. Zerostatic0KK.. I gues Devs will just continue to make their cute games like Rayman

Red Steel was a launch title. People tend to buy anything at launch.
Yes, developers will move their games to less popular systems with higher development costs
That makes perfect sense :|
How about the Wiis only great shooter guys!!
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2
oh wait! it sold only 100k copies..
or how about Zack and Wiki everyone?! A kiddie art style that actually was a good game!! oh wait.. it sold nothing..
to be honest, I'll blame Ubisoft if the game doesn't sell. I have seen 0 advertising, nothing on tv and from what I heard, not much in mags aswell. Here in Canada, Futureshop, bestbuy and every other big stores have absolutely nothing on it. The game isn't even on FS or BB site, not even in their upcoming games list. Even Endless Ocean is there and they even put it in their flyer this week but again nothing on NMH.
This is lame

True but I'd say if it didn't have its TV advertising it wouldn't have passed one million sales.
It's just really annoying seeing devs blame everything but themselves for their games not selling well when there's no advertising at all.
All they need to do is have a simple add on TV showing NMH's awesome gameplay and people will be sucked in.
I though we voted that sales didn;t mater anymore.Marka1700
that was tried, but the problem is that is one of the only two things that can actually be debated based on facts: sales, and hardware specifications
everything else is subjective

Overall Wii software vs. 360.15 of the top 20 Wii games were third party and they all sold over 100 k a piece in the Dec NPD
pretty much kills your thread argument

. . . . wouldn't that be overall?
So if this game sells over 500K can we celebrate?
There is no way in hell that they expected this game to sell more then at most 1 million copies.
Like not every game is made with the expectation that it's going to do gangbusters. Most are made with the idea of breaking even, or making a marginal profit.

Yes, but you could win overall and have it be all first party sales too... But the Xbox 360 was outsold in both ways.
So now that its obtained critical accalim, haters attack sales? Its sure to sell well (unless there's absolutely no advertisement at all).Video_Game_King
critical aclaim =/= smashed on ign for the open world nature...and of course the mowing. dont forget the mowing minigame.
The game sold horribly in Japan but it was still his best selling game and he was able to get enough sales to ask for a sequal. So if this game sells over 500K can we celebrate?

Who cares if IGN did that they still said it was a good game to get, but other Critics said it was really good IGN gave it the lowest score.[QUOTE="p2rus"][QUOTE="Video_Game_King"]So now that its obtained critical accalim, haters attack sales? Just saying... It kind of makes a little bit of since that the world is huge and empty...

If this game sells 100K, Im sure Sudo 51 will be celebrating... after Japans rejection of the game.

Who cares if IGN did that they still said it was a good game to get, but other Critics said it was really good IGN gave it the lowest score.no i just thought it was interesting that a whole lot (aka every) critique by ign was not included in the gs review. as a matter of fact there were barely any critiques of the game at all in the review on gs...maybe they should be a little bit more hesitant to hand out aaa's like candy and start actually asking: "hey whats good with this game. and what doesnt work?"
because a lot of the time it seems that theyre just like ohh look it does this right and this right. But what about the problems! not even a paragraph devoted to the shortcomings of the game.

It's a niche, artsy game that wouldn't sell well on any platform.Jimmi323
