The "Game Defaults" feature of the Xbox 360. It lets me set up various default settings, eg. inverted controls for action games, bumper-cam for racing games and default difficulty level. That way, I don't have to go into the "Options" screen for every new game to make those adjustments; I can just start playing.

PS3 doesn't have that, so every new game I play, I have to go into the options screen and check to see if everything is to my liking (and in most cases, it isn't.)

So yeah. Get on it, Sony.

TC, I actually like going to the options menu for every new game I get and changing things around. I've grown fond of this ritual. I would like some cross-game voice chat though.

Nah imo the one thing sony NEEDS to copy is, like many others have said, cross game chatting.

I don't have any friends with a PS3 so I don't really mind party chat. I'd prefer if Sony did a more "vivid" or better looking interface. I don't want them to copy MS's interface which sometimes takes too long to load but at least make something more interesting. I'd also like for Sony to start accepting mexican credit cards for use in the PS store. I'm able to use it on the XBL Marketplace but not on PS Store which has stopped me from getting any PSN games or DLC.

Don't the settings on PS3 save whenever you save the game? The last game I changed the settings on was Dead Space and I just changed the brightness, I only had to do it one time. I don't get it.

I didn't even know the 360 had that option. You're right, it would be nice if the PS3 could do that.

Netflix is coming to all consoles I heard, although one thing I want is to have my Home avatars show up against my background or in use with dynamic themes.

That would be pretty cool, and Home avatars wouldn't be useless outside of Home.

You may have 1 thing you didn't steal from us, but you can't enjoy itwithout getting RROD every 5 minutes of play.

metalguitar13

Wow hiding behind RROD already? Anyway I didn't even know that feature existed :o. The only two things that I really want from 360 to be put into PS3 is for in-game cross chat and the way the 360 tells you what your friends are doing in the game they're playing. On 360, If I'm playing COD:WAW, it will say what mission of the campaign I'm on or what multiplayer mode I'm playing on which map... if PS3 had that, maybe people wouldn't send me invites for Nazi Zombies every 2 seconds when I'm in the middle of an online match :x Also, it would be a lot easier to find out what my friends are doing and to join them.

I really don't understand all the hype around netflix when only 1 country in the world can use it. I guess thats what happens when 90% of the people on this forum are from that country.

The 360 version is different. With the 360 Game Defaults, you set the defaults as part of your Xbox Profile (you don't need XBL to use it, but if you have XBL, the Game Defaults are saved to your XBL account.) Then, whenever you insert a brand new game, it checks your Game Defaults settings and changes its settings accordingly. Of course, you can always go in and make adjustments within the game, and those adjustments will be saved as part of the normal game-save procedure. The 360 Game Defaults only apply the very first time you play a brand new game.

It's not a "problem" per se, it's just a nice, convenient feature in 360 that I wish was in PS3.
