That is a sweet game. I hope it comes to PSN as well. I would also like to see either the Genesis or SNES TMNT game come to the PSN. The older TMNT games were the best.

:lol: I just looked on the 360 page. Appearantly Alien Hominid is coming this week with some 4 player co-op as well.

With online co-op=HELLZYEAH. I have friends that live far from me and this is one of the games we use to play growing up, so being able to play with them online is sweet. I still want NBA Jam, damn it.

The only thing that'd make me OD with joy would be these 2 arcade games, just these 2 (in addition to TMNT) Killer Instinct 1 (the arcade version, not the SNES of "Gold" N64 version) X-men Arcade game by Konami

Never played it so I can't comment. But I do know SoR and FF were fantastic games.

I have X-Men, TMNT, and Simpsons arcade games for mame on the first xbox, and had a blast playing them 4 players with buddies in college. I think the original turtles arcade game came with one of the TMNT games from last gen, but they lamed it up because it didn't have the voices. Hopefully this port will be a perfect translation, complete with EVERYTHING from the original ("SAY YO PWAYERS TOITLE!", "TONIGHT I DINE ON TURTLE SOUP!"). Anyway, this is great news. Now they just need: TMNT IV: Turtles in Time (both the SNES and the Arcade versions) The Simpsons Arcade Game Alien vs. Predator arcade game X-Men Arcade game (the one with like 6 players at the same time) Captain America and the Avengers arcade game Killer Instinct (Ultra 64 arcade game) Killer Instinct 2 (Ultra 64 arcade game)

This is great to see, in fact way back when there were discussions of what kind of games should be coming to XBLA this is one of the games I had mentioned (along with some other co-op arcade games). Side scrolling beat-em-ups with multiple players jumping in and out of the action at arcades were awesome. TMNT, the Simpsons, NARC, etc. I would also like to see Vindicator come to XBLA, I think it would work well with the dual analog.

Because Nintendo logos are everywhere, Nintendo still owns 49% of Rare, and theres lots of licencing issues with Nintendo, Rare and Midway (the company that made the arcade machines)

A lot of the greatest VC games strongest points are it's single player. XBLA gets as the name implies... Arcade games. Arcade games are more bent on multiplayer, the VC games are console games where more of them were bent on SP playability... since there were only like 2 controller ports on most of the systems.

1) which means MS owns more of it

2) equity ownership means nothing in terms of decision-making...whoever owns the majority of VOTING shares gets their way (for example, the Roberts family owns a small percentage of Comcast's regular stock but has a huge chunk (the majority if i'm not mistaken) of voting shares, so they get their way with company decisions)

Well look at it this way: Nintendo licensed and published Conker for N64, and it was remade on Xbox, as it was a RARE created character. All the KI characters and stuff are RARE created as well, meaning RARE owns the intellectual property. Now a game like Donkey Kong Country wouldn't come to XBLA simply because while it was a RARE developed game, it was based off a Nintendo intellectual property. Make sense?

It would have bad controls just like when SF2 Turbo was announced. It would make more sense to create a new KI game instead.

Nintendo doesn't own any portion of Rare anymore.  The 49% stake Nintendo owned was sold to Microsoft when they purchased the company.

Indeed, a XBLA version of KI would be sweet. Man, I spent a lot of money on that game in the arcade when I was a kid. There has never been an arcade-perfect translation of it on any console. The one on SNES was ok, but lacked a lot of stuff. I loved those FMV win screen poses. SUPREME VICTORY!!!
