One of the best years in gaming in awhile?

I am not sure about everyone else, but this has been one of the best years in gaming for me. I wont waste your time writing a long list of all the great games that came out and are comming out this year, but it has been one of my best in a long time. Honestly one of the first times in my time of gamming(since nes) where there are more games then i can handle. Its a great time to be a gamer, no matter what system you own.

This is indeed a good year for gaming.

It's a good year, I don't have favorites though.

I haven't really enjoyed 2009(here's to hoping dragon age lives up to the hype), I honestly think 2010 will be the defining year this gen.

This, except I don't think this year was very good. But 2010 looks promising.

I think this year is weak. I only bought 3 new games this year. Everything else is from 2007 and 2008.

That isn't neccessarily what I meant. I meant that across every platform there are a lot of good looking games coming out.

For the mainstream masses maybe. This year, like so many years before, has a serious lack of good RPGs. Until that is remedied, it will continue to be just another year to me.

(Demon's Souls will hopefully help bring this year out of the pit somewhat though)

By looking at this title, I would think it was 2010 already.

I actually think this is an extremely weak year. I think 2010 is going to blow '09 out of the water in terms of games.

It has been a good year, but i still think that 2007 was better, and 2010 looks great.

The best batch of this year isn't even here yet, but its gonna be a good ride. 8)

It has been a pretty slow year specially in comparison to the last one, it could turn around towards the end but I doubt it will be that much better.Dystopian-X

For me this is a slow year at best. Not that it's a bad year, but I find myself playing games from years past rather then new games.

Currently playing KoToR on the PC. I've been waiting for it to hit digital download. That and The Witcher; which I am having a hard time getting into even though it's a pretty damn awesome game. I was just expecting more open character creation.

Well, DS is certainly stomping out the competition this year, so I'd say yah. Then you got the PC gaming like Batman AA, and Empire Total War, and 360 is getting ODST.

This year was alot better then last year IMO. Will be the best year this generation(since 2006) before it's all over with. Next year looks to be even better.
