I have a Fx-60, 2GB ram, and 2x8800GTXs. I should be fine.Swiftie101
yeah you can run it but not max out . you need more ram and no gpu to date can max it out
[QUOTE="EPaul"]You said something good about PS3 owners :oReyes360
lol hey I do own the PS3 and I hope it makes me happy one of these days. Killzone 2 might make me love it.
*punches reyes360 in the face* HEY, snap out of it!
So, basically, consoles have an edge over PCs because *you* don't know how to pay attention to the head of Crytek (and the leigions of hermits who have repeated his words) who has stated that an 8800GTS would be able to run Crysis on ultra-high?
And that a 7800GTX will max Crysis on DX9?
PC gaming is only hard if you refuse to learn how to do it... like everything else in the universe.

Please I have been up with everything, bottom line is of course Crytek is going to say that because they are trying to sell the product. Anyway, it remains to be seen true that I will be able to run it on ultra high, something tells me I wont be, and yes I know more about computers than you and I have the latest drivers and I have my apature on my GPU set correctly, the bottom line is that I have a feeling Crysis is going to be a hog and I will have to settle for tweeking to get it to run at a nice frame rate but definitely not on ultra high, lol come on.

Let me get this straight.
You know more about PC gaming than I do, even though you don't know me.
Also, you are "up" with "everything" Crysis-related.
However, with your vast library of knowledge, you refuse to beleive that your system will run Crysis well, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, because you have "a feeling". :?

lol they already said that a 8800gts 320mb can run the game on ultra high at dx10 settings
another thread, no pc in the world can run crysis blahblahblah, get your facts straight people.
single core cpus will be able to run the game
lowest system requirements for GPU's are 6600 Series
if a pc can run FarCry on high it will be able to run Crysis on Low
4years old pcs will be able to run the game
You are called an idiot on the game forums if you play with consoles and don't know how to properly maintain a computer. Back in the real world though you are fine and the people who know computers may be called "computer experts", or more likely nerds. I'm sick and tired of searching for web for answers why my game doesn't work. And most of the time it's "Your combination of hardware causes this. Please wait for a patch". It's a genuine disadvantage. Deal with it hermits. Stop the damn damage control. I understand some of you may have never had these problems, but that doesn't mean others don't. And I'm a hermit too. I'd be a lemming if I wasn't afraid of rrods.Drathyl
lol, the lack of knowlodge is so big i dont even know where to begin to correct you, so i just wont do it.
The fact that when a game is release it is going to run for sure on the console. Now with the mega Crysis game coming out I am still unsure that my E6750 overclocked to 3.2 4 gig of ram 88oogts 640 mb card is going to run this game at acceptable Frames per second. Thats why PC gaming will never be up to snuff to console gaming because there is so much involved to get some of these games running, random shut downs, clean out your drivers, update to more recent drivers, get latest patch after searching on google for 10 minutes downloading from sites that you cant even trust. Hermits will never have ease of use that console gamers will have. DOnt bash me cause Im speaking the mind, bash the fact that it is still a mystery if Crysis is going to be run at moderately high end systems. Reyes360
Your not a hermit your a fakeboy crysis will run on high on a 8800gts 640mb in dx10, hermits can read while most console refuse/can't. I dare you to go to the crysis forums and repeat this rubbish
Most console gamers are kids who refuse to read who's fault is that and stop making gibberish specs up.i bet you most console gamers dont even know what a 38800x 2 vc3 ram with a 2p454 crod is.
thats why PC will never be better than consoles.

What I don't like about 360 vs PC is the fact that the game is downgraded to run on the 360. Also Oblivion is a fantastic game but it costs about $55 new on 360 when I can get the bundle for PC which includes all the expansions for $10 less. Same goes for Bioshock... I know it just came out but just wait a few months and it'll be about $25, ripe for the PC picking.
Just for the record, I have a Gaming PC, a Wii and a DS.
That's why I always buy the pc version it's cheaper, has mods and looks better with no loading screens. What I don't like about 360 vs PC is the fact that the game is downgraded to run on the 360. I can't remember the last time I had to do anything more than install a game in order to play it.
Crysis won't be as easy to get running, perhaps, but it's worth it for the insanely good graphics.
if i placed crysis in my disk drive my motherboard will melt and then implode, oes any1 has a pc that can run crysis perfectly here anyway?Kaosed
It's probably run at 15fps on my PC. I have a 2.0ghz Pentium 4 Processor & 1.5GB of RAM. I'll probably upgrade next year, but at this point Crysis wouldn't run at the settings I want it to.

You dont know this for sure .... sicne the current state of optmization is appauling on the Beta version , and if your talking about that developer Quote, he means additional technology will be patched in thats only available on new GPUs ... so the game gradually improves over-time still , like Half-Life 2 had added HDR ect.

ok i just read about 40 threads about how people cant even get the game to run at "MEDIUM" on the beta. These are people with 8800GTS videocards. Go take a stroll onto the pc gaming forums on gamespot if you dont believe. Oh how I knew this was going to be like this. I know its the Beta but optimization isnt going to add a ton of frame rates. lol Oh man i guess I have to wait 6 months to get Crysis, by then they might have it optimized right. LOL, hence, this is why PC gaming is and never will be on the level of console gaming.
That's why a time delay my PC gaming with some games and only buy games when i have hardware that can play it how it's meant to be played. I won't even bother trying to play Crysis on my current PC and play it some time next year when I have hardware that can max it out. Not all PC games have high requirements, so there is plenty of games I will be able to play while I wait and I also have consoles to play. It's not as if there is ever really a shortage of games for me to play and even if I didn't time delay some games because of hardware requirements I would be playing catch up with games.Sir_Graham
its just a joke that I have to wait and when I play crysis, not enjoy the game, but wonder if its gonna crash.

dont, you should be able to maxout the game on dx9, and no one should listen to a guys opinion about Crysis and his pc if he has 360 on his nick.

I saw a couple of guys making claims that did not match up with the majority of GTS owners the rest had no problem I can only assume the problem was with their rigs not the game. I doubt you have played the crysis beta or have a rig full of spyware that has not been defragmented with junky registry and old drivers.Don't blame the game if you don't maintain your pc.

Well now , funny really, the Xbox360 has been out 2 years, has sold poorly, does not have a very good momentum considering its library/advantage ..... Dying in most of Western/Eastern Europe except the UK,not to mention Japan, has had very little success raitings why out-side of shooters .... is being outsold by a Nintendo console ... and has already pretty much reached its limit with Halo 3 & Mass Effect..
