So, the PlayStation TV. You probably know what it is- a joke. The TV based microconsole based on Vita hardware that Sony released to absolutely no success, like all things Vita, a while ago.

I get it- we already have lolVita, and having a variant of it that is amazingly enough, even more limited, leads to just more lols.
I understand.
But there is one very cool piece of technology in the PlayStation TV, something very minor and understated, that I have never seen anyone talk about. I think it's pretty cool, and I want all future consoles to have it.
Ready? Let me lay it out for you:
- Switching the PSTV on switches on your TV too (I am aware that this is also done by the Xbox One, and to a more limited degree, PS4 and Wii U, but stay with me here)
- If you turn your TV off, your PSTV automatically goes into sleep mode too.
- Then, when you switch the TV on again next? The PSTV wakes up from Sleep Mode, and lets you continue from exactly where you were.
Essentially? This is the ultimate form of Suspend/Resume. You don't need to switch the TV on, get the console controller, and then switch the console back on. You just switch the TV on, and your console boots itself right back up to the point where it was when you switched the TV screen off, and it went into sleep.
This I think is a very cool piece of technology. It is something that I think all systems could stand aping, honestly.
