I have the demo of MLB 2K7 on PS3 and 360, and the sound on PS3 is much better, it's way more immersive on my surround sound system. You really ffel like you are in the stands, you can here the people screaming out clearly and all around you. The 360 game most of the sound only comes from the front speakers and they are lower. Also FPS's that I own for 360 (Rainbow Six and CoD2)could sound better, overall the noise is either distorted and not clear on 360 compared to like Resistance on PS3.Anoch20
You don't have yoyur 360 setup properly if you're only getting sound out of your front speakers (this is called stereo sound.)
360 does full surround sound on every title.
What cables are you using for sound on your 360?
The sound is lower? Well I wonder what you should do. The volume doesn't only go up to 10, you know.OblivionXII
It goes to 11.

I have my 360 connected same way as my PS3 with optical cable, and I said most of the sound not all, some sound still comes out of the surround speakers but they are much lower in volume and clearity compared to the PS3. It's really night and day between the 2 at least for the MLB 2K7 demo for sure. But then as I said overall when comparing the sound between the FPS's I have for both sound on the PS3 is also better mostly it's more clear and louder and utilizes the surround speakers better

And you have the audio properly setup in the 360 dash (digital 5.1 audio?)
Maybe it's your system, I have an expensive HT setup and I haven't noticed any real difference in the audio between the 360 and the PS3 (I use toslink for the 360 and HDMI for the PS3, both full 5.1 obviously.) They both sound superb on my system, and the levels are consistent in all titles.

Try the uncompressed PCM 7.1 audio in Resistance and then compare it to a 360 game...then you will see a huge difference
[QUOTE="chikenfriedrice"]the 360 sounds amazin with my optical cable and surround sound...but I don't have a PS3 so I have to take ur word for it but i'll take graphics and games over a little better sound anyday :)lordxymor

I have a 5.1 setup, I don't have the space in my apartment for a 7.1 setup.
(keep in mind that my 5.1 setup is no slouch either, worth over $2,500 for the speakers alone.)

So, you're taking his word for itand saying "take graphics over a little better sound"? What's this mentality in SW of trying to look "honest" and then stab in the back?
Are the graphics in the 360 so much better than the PS3's that you're willing to say it's a bigger difference than a sound difference you haven't even heard?
This is retarded, so many people having their little methods of trying to look good and then go around with little things other people don't notice -- maybe except me -- and bellitling things freely. Perhaps this goes to the metagame of SW.

than you have your speaker system setup wrong or your 360. Cause I have mine hooked up to my 6.1 insignia sound system, and every title sounds amazing at 5.1 dolby digital.

You can still enjoy uncompressed 5.1 PCM then...if you have a receiver that can do it via HDMI. Sounds at bit rates in the 4Mpbs range kill DD5.1 and its 648kpbs bit rate. The depth, dynamic range and clarity is startling.
