I just read the post about how sony flamed Halo 3 on wikipedia by editing the Halo 3 page.

But i think people have forgotten the time when Playstation3 was being launched in France midnight and a boat goes past with a banner reading(and yes it was a MS stunt): Xbox 360 Loves You.

This is business think we should just let it be and stick to the gaming.

What proof did they have that they edited the page? I mean anyone can edit anything on Wikipedia. That's funny though.

there's a difference between competition and sabotage.

MS as far as I know has never did anything to defame sony's name. They have just changed opinions related to their products, and heavily marketed their product in Sony territory (for example the boat, and the time MS bought ads for the ps3 page on GS). Sony on the other hand pays for people to defame it's compeditors like they did with this wiki entry. If sony/MS want to edit articles pertaning to their own company that's fine, but when they change things for the competition well that's mudslinging.

Paying a reviewer to give your own games a better score is bad.

Paying a reviewer to give your competitions games a lower score is worse.

And once again where is the proof that Sony did this? Someone who hates Halo could have done this.

Wikiascanner traced the IP to one of Sony's offices in England...

Was it the head of Sony who funded this so that it would happen? Or was this just done by an employee who was bored and hates Halo?

The IP which was used to change the entry leads to a SCEE office in Liverpool.Although its obvious that Sony didnt do it, just some angry Sony employee.

I remember a little stunt a while back where people were waiting in line to get a PS3 and there's a guy in a Wiimote suit saying that the Wii is the best, and that it was coming out soon.
