"Burnout Paradise is one of the few multi-format releases that is being primarily developed on the PlayStation 3 and the demonstration showed one area that the game will probably have the edge over the Xbox 360 release. It seems strange to say it, but the online features seem like they'll work more seamlessly on the PS3. By pressing right on the Sixaxis d-pad you open Easy Drive, which is the game's online system. There's no lobby and no waiting around; the game simply takes your offline game and takes it online.

On the Xbox 360 the system's Xbox Live service means that the 360 Blade menu will need to be opened, slowing down the process slightly and making it slightly less seamless. The functionality is said to be the same though, which is good for gamers as a whole. When online the city is just as it is in an offline game, but this time you're racing around with real players."

I can't think of any good reason why the blade menu would need to be opened.

don't care, this game will be at least an 8.5, theseries has a stellar pedigree even though its published by EA.

This is grasping for straws to say the least. I've always enjoyed Burnout online, and will continue doing so no matter how "seamless" it is.

This game should be good then if the only thing you have to complain about will take less than 3 seconds to get over and move on.

Please let me know when on the PS3 I can chat with my buddy playing Halo 3 while I'm playing Burnout.

One less step is nothing to get all giddy about.

As much as I like the Burnout series(not counting the 1st two) I doubt I'll get it this time around, I hoping that Sega Rally Revo turns out to be good.

Lmao. EA lazy much? Test Drive unlimited does that and you don't have to use the blade menu. You just go to the online game section on the map and the the enter race button.

So yeah..

well criterion are sony fanboys so they are probably doing this on purpose, i know there are limitations to a closed network like XBL such as some that epic have pointed out and whatnot but i dont know if this is one of those or just something they dont care to solve as they are concentrating on the ps3 version and pushing that hardware.
