i used to be a avid pc gamer but now switched to consoles mainly because of the cost

but im trying to get back in to pc but playing counter strike for example is way more complicated then any console shooter becuase picking a game is done for you usually with a matchmaking service, browsing the CS source servers its a mess you have to deal with latency set rate and ping you proably have to download some user created content when you just wanted to play the original game its no fun any more and i dont feel like learning all that just to get into a game. I just want to jump in and play now and i dont want to think about my frame rate and my cls_rate and so forth

what do you all think be professional

PC shooters like CS really aren't casual friendly or newcomer friendly at all, that's how it always will be.

if you're looking for a no-hassle PC fps you can play from your web browser, then by all means try http://www.quakelive.com/it is an amazing game, without any complexities of usual server browsing!

Online PC games are messy to get into. Console gaming is good if you just want to get on and play.
