I will not deny that OOT was a revolutionary title for its time and probably deserved its 10.0, but in todays standards the game isnt that great anymore, Ive played it numerous times and it really is not a big deal anymore now that the genre has evolved.
I will say that majoras mask is better than OOT, wind waker was fresh, and TP was dull.
Yes it was a great game...but I didnt have the feel to play after the fire temple...weird as Adventure games ussually keep me all the way to the ending
I liked MM's darker theme more, and loved TP. I haven't officially reviewed it yet, but I will soon. OoT was a great game, but I felt MM surpassed it on some spots... (darker mood, more original storyline, better emotions from characters.)
I really enjoyed OoT and Majora's Mask's storylines. To me, that is what allows it to stay so awesome even after all these years.hydrophoboe
I honestly dont think OOT's story was so great, after being exposed to some better storys over the years OOT's is just very ordinary. however Majoras mask's story is much more complex than people think.

Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina in every way. Graphics, Gameplay, Length, Puzzles, control... After playing TP, Ocarina is just not as great, especially when you play Ocarina right after TP, which we are all doing. It's still a great game though. The only thing that has aged in Ocarina is the graphics though. The gameplay hasn't. Gameplay is more important to me.

I really want that game. My friend gave me a file on his, and I have an N64. I didnt get very far in it, but i can easily say for it's time it definitely merits a ten. the first 3d Zelda game was also the best. One magazine I read gave Twilight Princess a 10 too... Which somewhat decries the pretigious 10 rating. TP was good... but technical constraints of its system and the fact that the music was midi bogged down the experience. Also the Wii controls were tough when playing as a wolf. But anyway. Yeah. W/OoT W/Oot!!Â
If your saying that OoT isnt a good game now, then what about mario or any original game like pong or Contra? You can't try to base a game that came out 10 years ago to games now a days, because games now a days got there abilities from games like that.
You guys do not understand...all you guys see is graphics. Ocarina of time was major and it was one the FIRST great 3d action rpg adventures. It laid the foundation for all future Zelda's. Most all were improved but they played the same way.
You can't rate old games and compare them to new games because the old games were first for their times. They laid the foundation for most of the games today. In fact most of the games today don't really play that much differently than games of the ps/64 era.
Does mario sunshine really play that much more differnt than mario 64?
i jus bought ocarina of time from vc and i couldn't believe, the graphics were god awful...i am not a graphics wh**e but first impressions are everything, even for an n64 game i expected more

Uhhhhh....It's N64? How would you expect more than that? The VC doesn't magically upgrade stuff.
I like OoT alot better than MM. MM was a great game but it didn't feel as good as OoT. Plus there is only 4 dungeons which make the game shorter. But I did like the darker tone.
