Original Voice Actor David Hayer says MGS Remake happening would you buy it?

It's one of the things that would probably push me to get a PS5, if it happened. Assuming it would be exclusive, of course.

I would buy a competent remake. I haven't played the OG MGS in decades... Though I did pick MGS1/MGS2 up on GOG, but haven't given them a play.

Depends on the quality of the game. The production value of a kojima game is always high and there is so much creativity so if there is any remake its a very tall task to match.

I replayed it recently on the PS1 and it holds up surprisingly well.

I guess they could make the graphics modern, but I hope they can retain the art direction. Some other things can be updated to work on modern hardware. Other than that I wouldn't want them to change anything. No first-person aim, like the Twin Snakes version. Keep it pure the original game was almost exactly what it needed to be.

Honestly I'm struggling with the idea of giving Konami money for what is likely a cash grab. They've shown they have no respect for the franchise. I just don't see this being something I will be comfortable supporting. We shall see.

Sure. I would definitely buy a quality remake of Metal Gear Solid. Played it originally when it first came out on the PlayStation. Amazing game, loved it.

Ugh, turning it into another 3rd person shooter like nobody can think outside that box anymore, no thanks. The original is still absolutely 100% playable and just as fun as it was then. I don't mind remasters, but **** remakes.

I'd want a ground up remake. If it's the same thing but with prettier graphics I think I'll pass. Also... would prefer a re imagining of MG1 or MG2 over anything MGS1.

it's been 17 years since Twin Snakes and the original Metal Gear Solid is one of my favorite games of all time..

if made, hopefully it comes to Xbox consoles and/or PC but if it's a PS5 exclusive with the appropriately updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, and etc, that would be an amazing grab for Sony..

that said, yes, i would be glad to play it..

I do not mind a remake of a Metal Gear Solid game as long as it includes quality-of-life improvements, updated graphics and audio, and fixed many of the technical issues that plagued the original. Any inappropriate changes (e.g. applease the "woke" mob) should be left as they are. If people are offended with the game's content, they should not play it.

Won't be the same without Kojima.

They'll ruin it with whatever game mechanics they decide to throw in. MGS had some unique game mechanics for its time due to limitations. It'll be hard to recreate those boss fights and still provide the same challenge with newer mechanics.

If done right, hell yes. It was in the top 3 best games that gen, but it's gonna take an incredible studio to remake it and do it justice

There was already Twin Snakes, which didn't work. I'd rather prefer remakes of Metal Gear 1 & 2 from the MSX.

Nope. Didn't grow up with the series, and it never made me a fan later.

MGS1 was incredible game. just incredible. I was young that time and blown away by it.

This game has one of the best storyline in gaming and made solid snake one of gaming most iconic character.

I would buy PS5 just for its remake if it didnot come to PC.

if bluepoint does the remake, then il buy it day one. the way they did the sotc and demons souls is so good.

One if the best games of l time. If they modernized the gameplay absolutely.

If they kicked the gameplay into Fox Engine with all its gameplay improvements and kept the cutscenes the same, yeah I’d pick it up.
