PSN is free, the only thing you have to pay for are things you download, with the exception of demos, trailers, and themes.

Pretty much the only difference between a US and a UK account is that sometimes one region will get demos and/or games earlier than another. A lot of people have an account for both regions so they don't have to wait.

And no, you don't need a seperate router for the PS3.

Playstation Store is part of PSN (which is free)

The differences between accoutns is that some stores in different regions contain different content than others (like for example Japan has some demos that the USA Playstation Store might not have, and vice versa)

You don't need a seperate router for the PS3

all the demos are free

the only thing you have to pay for on the store is downloadable PSN games and extra downloadable content.

all demos are free, as of yet. Unless you count Qore early demos.

You don't have to pay to access it, but you do have to pay for each individual item you download

Whats the difference between the UK account and the US account, and can i change any time i want ?

The only difference is PS Store content, and you can't change but you can make another free account in any region.

Also,do i need a seprate router for my PS3 ?

It's ok. Can't complain too much, since it's free and you can game (not that it helps me at all. I suck beyond measure at Resistance multi :p).

My only issues with it stem more from the downright unfriendliness inherent in some aspects of the OS, which hamper my enjoyment of the PSN. Aside from what I've been hearing about MGO, these are basically mild annoyances, not a single dealbreaker.

Let me tell you straight out...

The PSN is a good, functional service that is free. Xbox Live is a more advanced, much more functional service that cost money.

As far as quality... Xbox Live > PSN.
As far as value... PSN > Xbox Live.

XBL is still better, but PSN is miles better than what fanboys make it look like. Its still missing a couple of things here and there, but maybe one day they will be. Anyway, all I use it for is demos, vids and MGO.

The PSN is good enough but just not better. Also not all the demos are free, because you can only find some of these demos exclusive to this thing called Qore that you pay for $25 a year. Also not all PSN arcade games have free trials, while every single XBLA game have try before you buy free trials.

Zaibach

create a new account using an address of the USA, go to Gamestop and use one of them like: Rockefeller Plaza 10112 Manhattan New York
