Says at the end of the article that the game was originally considered for the 360 and PS3 but they chose the Wii.

If SEGA doesn't F this one up, you guys will be missing out.

This is probably one of the more desired sequels in the hardcore gamer world right now.

And I'd say to be a hardcore gamer you'd have to at least know the original game. You don't have to like it.

Around here people think playing all the Grand Theft Autos makes you hardcore but it doesn't. Its remember how old school games like the Saturn's NiGHTS even put to shame alot of games out today.

NiGHTS is like Shenmue. Lots loved it. Lots hated it. I hope that NiGHTS is good. SEGA doesn't need its name tarnished anymore, NiGHTS does not need to be ruined for fans, and the Wii does not need another crappy franchise game.

That said, the original NiGHTS was all about the unique controls, so it somewhat makes sense that it would be on the Wii.

According to unconfirmed rumors, NiGHTS began its life for 360 and PS3, but was later moved to Wii. The title is being developed by SEGA Studios USA and is set for a fall 2007 release.IGN

Sega has done a lot of crap work lately. Fortunately, Sonic and the Secret Ring is a BIG step back in the right direction. True, the game was far from perfect, but they did many things correctly as far as mechanics, camera, and overall feel. Let's hope it's a trend that will extend to NiGHTS. If Sega gets it right, it will be big for BOTH Sega AND the Wii. If Sega F's this one up... the Wii will be fine without it but it'll be one more nail in Sega's coffin.

I'm hoping for a nice success. ^_^
