Firstly, i need to say that i don't own a Wii or any of the current gen consoles.

What i want to know about is the 'separated' feature of the control, i.e. nunchuck and wiimote. Is it really more comfortable to hold it that way than having your hands together? Do you think all controllers should be like that from now on?

It feels very nice to have your hands separated and you'll rarely get cramps.  I'm not yet convinced that every game controller should be that way, but it's a start.

I used to play Perfect Dark 64 with dual controllers, it feels the same exact way, only the Wii-mote is microscopic.

I love the separation. AND the ambidextrous design. I'm not left handed myself, but there are probably a few lefties out there silently thanking Nintendo. (Unless they're way too used to the old style.)

Another great feature they rarely show in their ADs is the fact that one can switch hands. My sister has one and she uses the the Wii-mote in her left hand and the Nunchuck in her right.

I'm really going to have to try that some day.

In an age before Wii this was awesome.

I think it rocks. the only time i can think of that it would hurt it is when youre taping out long sequences of buttons quickly.

I dunno... it kind of seems like advertising a left-handed hammer... If you get my drift.

Yeah but it's something the others can't do, you cant use the PS3 d-pad with your right thumb.

deffo, wiimote and nunchuck in general just feel more comfortable than your average gaming pad.

It feels much more comfortable :D But not every controller should be seperated, imagine juggeling between multiple buttons and analogue-stick in your right hand, and analogue-stick and d-pad in your left hand.

Guess I'll have to go against the crowd on this one. I dislike the seperation with a passion. It's not about the Wiimote being harder to use (It's not) or ungainly (Again, it's not) but the fact that it's just not comfortable to me. To each his own.

I think it is more comfortable. Being able to just have your hands at your sides sit back and relax while you are desperately trying to save someones life in Trauma Center is great.

You can sit in entirely new and more comfortable ways when both your hands do not have to be together in front of you. I really do not care... seeing as how I always just sit still most of the time while I play. Unless I am really getting into Wii tennis.

I think its quite a bit more comfertable. But its only practical with the Wii-Remote. It would suck for the 360 or PS3 controller.

They need to make other console's controllers detachable.

It feels so free, I can have the two parts tucked into my pockets if I wanted, or dangled around my neck, or....lets not get into THAT!

Like most aspects of the Wii its different not better, although it really couldn't be done any other way to make the most of it.

I tink it's great. Especially in a motionless game like zelda. You don't need to move much at all in zelda, so you can just lay on the sofa playing with your hands resitng normaly.

I love it. It's not a huge thing for me because I tend to sit with my hands in my lap, but having the freedom to move to another position is great. It makes other controllers seem limiting and stifling.
