Well I was spoiled from Xbox Live, so coming from there to ps3, and not having a private chat, or a party system to find games in killzone 2 with my friends was frustrating to say the least. Also Call of Duty 4 on the 360 and PS3 are to completely different experiances, well online, on the ps3 about 2-4 people have mics, on 360 only 2-4 people don't have mics, it really doesn't affect actual gameplay, but it makes me feel I'm actually pissing somebody off by killing them then just killing a lifeless bot.I play Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, Call of Duty WAW, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Resistance 2, Street Fighter IV online and have not encountered a problem.

I am perfectly fine with my combo of wii 360 DS psp, but i may purchase a PS3 in the future for a few of the exclusives.
I have a 360/PS3 /Wii with a Psp slim on the side which i hardly use it and a Pc just to use for work & chatting hehe so NO i'm not missing out on anything.
i couldnt agree any more you took the words out of my mouth any how,
i agree 100 percent , , it doesnt matter what combo it is,
heck youd be way better with all 3,
like me ,
there for you wouldnt complain about this and that in stead youd just be looking for the best of the 3 has to offer, or 2 which ever you prefer, id go with a wii and put console here combo if had to do it again because owning a ps3 360 limits your options so much , youd only benefit from ms or sony titles, on one console ,
multiplats on both ,
leaving you to decide which you want for ,
im constantly getting double , by owning 3 , , (that may very well be a down fall ) eg owning both versions of gta iv or r6 vegas
but in the end it pays off because i do have all the library to choose from , ,
yes i may miss some but when their dirt cheap ill pick em up , ,
im not in no rush , only on select titles do i get it near launch , ,
in fact half my ps3 games costed me less then 59 dollars, 59 was only 1 time =gta iv as far as sony exclusives- kz2 ,
other then that i got my ps3 games for cheaper,
most of my main games have been bought for 360 and wii , they offer me double,
its just nice to have each console , i still even collect for my older consoles , ,
including gc xbox ps2 gba gb nes snes etc
i own practically every gens hardware ,
its just a matter of finding the games thats a pain ,
im still looking for top gear 3000 , and im surely not paying no 49 on ebay for it,
So, what about the people who does not own any systems? Gamers can live with just one console of their prefered choice. Not everyone has money to own multiple systems especially with the economy downturn and the price of games.
same as, have a wife and 6 kids to feed, lol at people who obviously have money to burn on multiple consoles, they seem to think everyone's in the same position, having a loving wife and wonderful kids is a better way to live than having multiple consoles any day of the week, i get the impression there are a lot of people on these forums who are either A)single with a good job and lot's of money or B)children with parents who have lot's of money and spoil them rotten.starving is no way to live.
i don't have the money for multiple consoles

I'd be A) except i go to college as well. not interested in the whole marriage or dating scene either. admittedly not ready for that step yet. at 23 i'm not looking for a wife and kids - but i know a ton of Arab friends who rush for that asap. rather just growing my account, traveling the world - when i can, and if i can while working rock out on the game/movie machines.starving is no way to live.

I can't - even with my income (consider i don't drink, do drugs, and nor am into the party/rave/bar scene), and my free time. justify having all three consoles.
I can manage two consoles, and one handheld.
If i was gonna trade in any system it would be 360, but then.... Mass Effect is only on that one. also Ace Combat (my favorite series ever) is exclusive to 360. The day those two come to PS3, is the day i trade in my 360 for a Wii.
There is only so much time in the day to play video-games. so pick your preference and stick with it. ditch the ship if it really is just bombing - though that is not the case at all for any of the systems. each have something going for them.
If there is a place in this world for more then two movie studios, more real estate companies, more banks, more computer operating systems. then there is space for three consoles in this world. no need to fear they'll pull a Dreamcast on us.
I got the wii and xbox360 on release days, but I waited a long time to get the ps3. They each have there strong points and weak points. Hmm it's nice owning them all but I could certainly be happy with just one, I pretty much only use one anyway.
my family - back when i was living with them.
we only had one game machine.
NES--> SNES--> N64 (hated this one) --> Playstation 2 (loved this one) --> Xbox 360.
living on my own now, i am the first to break this trend, currently with 360 and PS3. I really could live with just one. but meh... i do'nt really play my 360 anymore, but it's still really nice to have it around (now that i have it). Mass Effect 2, Gears of War 3 (you know it's coming...), Alan Wake, Halo Reach, Ace Combat (if it ever comes). all good games.
yes i have actually had all 3 consoles this gen (2 wiis :p) until about a week ago where my brother sold the xbox elite for £80 to his boss XDDDD but still the ps3 is a good all rounder so if you cant afford it i would go for that, not the say the xbox 360 isnt a great all rounder but thats just my preference.
I don't see how one person can game so much they need more than one console...
I'm rocking 2 hours a day and I'm fine with one. I won't waste money on things I don't need
holy **** 11 platinums?! btw how do you get a self-updating Trophy card? been looking for for ages....You know if I didn't have a PS3 or didn't have a PC I'd be happy with either of them. Luckily I have both and get some gaming goodness. Best combo imo.

Yeah I keep telling myself how great it would be if I bought a PS3, but I've decided to buy my son a bunch of stuff instead. If gaming is the primary focus in your life then, maybe. Some people like myself have other hobbies that absorb their funds...

I have a PS3 and no Wii or Xbox360 and I'm getting along just fine. I don't have enough money just to throw around, I'm not gonna waste anymore money on a second console because it's pointless. The PS3's onlinecapabilities are great, PSN is just as good as Live.
I don't mind not being able to own Gears of War. But then again, I can get it for PC if I really wanted to buy the game.
