Still, 10/10 - awesome.
EDIT: Confirmed fake by the mag themselves.

R* game = autmatic perfect score.
I still have my doubts about this game.

Me too. I can understand the ambition behind it and everything but I can't see myself liking it. I think all reviewers are looking forward to it so they will give generally good scores. But reviews don't mean that much really
GTA4 got a 10... look at that piece of garbage. RDR got good reviews... that game also sucked (all in my opinion of course :P)joel_c17Both GTA IV and RDR are amazing games and two of the best games this generation. Once you stop comparing GTA IV to San Andreas and just look at it on its own merits, you can clearly see it's an amazing game. And RDR was just epic. Thoroughly deserved game of the year last year. All in my oppinion of course.
[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"]Why doubt since their previous game was one of the greatest game in gaming historyR* game = autmatic perfect score.

I've had more fun d*****g around in GTA4 (Which I hated) than I had with RDR. RDR is one of the most boring games I've played this gen and I feel horribly ripped off by buying it day 1. I thought the GTA formula couldn't get any worse but RDR proved me wrong. I like the old west setting, especially movies, but RDR took it to a whole new level of bore. I'm not even willing to finish this game. It is NOT one of the greatest games in history. Its a bad example for any game to follow, just like GTA.
And this isn't their game, its Team Bondi. Team Bondi developed it, not R*. R* is just publishing. In fact thats the only reason I do care about LA Noire. Its not a R* game with the same old GTA formula. It looks like Mafia 2 on steroids.
Wasn't expecting anything less than a 9.0. But GameSpot's review is the only one that matters for me.
+Great Narrative. In there opinion they said it has the dramatic, and cinematic storytelling of Heavy Rain, with the complexity of Metal Gear Solid, mixed with the length of Red Dead Redemption (but longer).
Sorry, but seeing these comparisons, I'd rather stick to Wim Wenders, Andrei Tarkovsky or François Truffaut.
This magazine isn't due out until after the embargo has been lifted (magazines tend to be sent in advance of their street date), and the 5/5 Guardian review was pulled because it broke the embargo early.LOL! How can people POSSIBLY take this score seriosly? Notice how only two reviews have come out so far, and they've both given perfect scores? R* thought they could pull off another emporers new clothes like with GTA4, with all reviewing giving perfect scores. That is not the case. All this proves it that they have realised now most reviews will give this game no more than an 8.5, and thus it will be a flop. They're only allowing the release of 10/10 reviews for now to fool all the suckers who won't be able to get out of preordering it when the REAl reviews come out the same day as their game arrives. Sheesh this place is full of borderline delusionals.

Nope. This is magazine review, not the internet one so they can release their score before emabrgo lifts up.
Excellent score, but, and it's a big but..GTA IV got a lot of 10's aswell and even though it was a great game it never in my mind was even near a 10.racing1750
GTA IV is easily an 11/10 imo, but yeah, Rockstar's games have obviously been better recieved by the critics this gen, and I for one don't expect it to be any different with LAN.
"Gameplay is a bit clunky. If your fan of Red Dead, or GTA IV then the gameplay of LA Noire won't feel out of place. That said, they were hoping for some advancement in this aspect"
Am I missing something or should it not be a perfect score. If the controls are clunky (which RDR and GTAIV are) then shouldn't it have lost marks?
What is this rambling? You know, people DO have their opinions and maybe JUST MAYBE the reviewer saw it fit to give it that score!?!? :O OMg nO wai!LOL! Rockstar games are good for their huge scale but not gameplay, the gameplay is actually pretty simple.
But L.A Noire is more my cup of tea, if it is based more on puzzle that is.
As a film buff, this is one of the silliest things I've ever read.Sorry, but seeing these comparisons, I'd rather stick to Wim Wenders, Andrei Tarkovsky or François Truffaut.

Seems to me that you're doing your utmost to not be pleased with what the game may provide.
'Motion Scan is the highlight for them, and the feeling of actually being a detective. They said no game comes close to the experience that they had with L.A Noire'
I was a bit skeptical about these new mechanics! Condemned was ok at the detectice thing. Great news it´s actually fun to play L.A. Noire!!!!

No, I have a problem with reviewers' naivete. That's what I suspect might be the case. No awareness of continuity, other art forms and assorted transcendence.
