OXM Review the Last Remant 7.0

Like i was saying a year ago this and Infinite Undiscovery would flop i was right with Infinite i think i would be right with this one to. viewing the videos and gameplay was just a think of time to know the truth that those game where cheaply made, square enix are bad a doing low budget games.

I'm not going to lie to you, I've never even heard of this game.

Microsoft has spent well this generation.....

I am sorry guys but SE has messed up for both consoles.  MS put a lot of cash into SE and they still can't deliever a killer.  My hopes for a great JRPG now is in Team Ico and LEVEL 5

And instead of investing in their own good studios they close it up and ends up losing one of their top first party Bungie.

FFXII was pretty darn mediocre. It got a high score because of its name, which is sad.

I knew this game would be bad. I mean come on, it's made by the guys that did Unlimited SaGa...that's all you really need to know.

The real question is why does SE let them continue to make games? My theory is blackmail.

Tekken 6 is still on PS3.  Sony's marketing?  More like Microsofts desperation to get market share.  MGS4 outsold Gears of War in far less time :(

OXM's credibility was lost when they gave the very solid Dead Space a 6.5, and the very atrocious Legendary a 7.5. Their reviews should not be trusted.BioShockOwnz

Wth are you talking about... Last remnant is multiplat and so is Dead space.... So is legendary to plus they gave GEOW 2 a 9.0 same score Gamespot gave it and it is very close to the avg on metacritic and game rankings...

Can we really make a conclusion out of this, though? This is the same reviewer that gave Dead Space a 6.5, and that received a 9.0 here at Gamespot. I think The Last Remnant could possibly be A-AA-ish. Then again, it's from the man behind Unlimited Saga. And cows act like Square didn't release crap games for PS2. :lol:BioShockOwnz

Well they did release crap games for the ps2 but they also release a lot more great games... great games so far from squareenix this gen zero... I still think last remnant is A material and AA at max.

Yeah I was actually thinking of getting the last remnant because I want to play another JRPG yes I know valkyria chronicles is out but that is a SRPG.  I want one that is turned based or free roam fighting, but the battle combat in last remanant appealed to me too... I will wait for further reviews though before I recommend my friend to get this game on his xbox 360.

Doesnt matter

1. Its OXM, they cater to n00bs so they are going to hate on something like this

2. Its multiplat

3. Its going to sell loads in Japan and push lots of consoles, giving MS the boost they need until Star Ocean 4, IU is selling relatively well and on its way to hit 500k

Yeah but just becuase its timed for the 360 doesn't mean the game won't be the same on the ps3 when it comes out for it... Though I am hoping they will improve things a lil like the game ALone in the Dark

Giancar, understandable. But I don't think any of this is a platform issue. It's Square Enix's problem entirely for creating these medicore games that simply do well domestically in Japan, then oversea. We all love Final Fantasy; but after #13 are they really going to create Final Fantasy XIV? They need to make their next big project a new franchise. That's the one thing I don't understand with Square Enix. All that talent, yet all the new franchises are low budget games that are medicore.
