OXM scores Call of Duty 4 a Perfect 10!

Personally, I would have givin this game a 9.0....

So do you guys think it disserves this score or not?

Multiplayer is really good though, IMO. I'll never touch Halo 3 and not worry about UT3 as soon as it comes out.

Oh but the BETA was spectacular even had to replace my favourite MP map from Dust 2 >> Over Grown.

Yeah, COD multiplayer is always very good, and it should keep me occupied for quite a while.

No it does not. There is no perfect anything... including games. Does that mean a score of 10 should never be given out? No.

A 10 means that the game is basically the absolute best of its genre/field and time.

Well, going off of the multiplayer beta I would give it maybe an 8.5

Maybe the single player campaign is great, which is what the game should be reviewed off of. I sincerely doubt its 10 worthy though/

Much rather play COD4 than any Halo game to be honest.

Som hermits bashed this game beyond belief ...it's their fault they don't have a good enough computer to run it well.turgore

they only bashed the gameplay after playing the demo....it didnt have to do with not being able to run the game well....its very scalable and well optimized.

If I recall correctly, that was some console players who claimed it looked like a PS2 game on their PC's. I thought the demo played and looked pretty good, and it ran silky smooth on my PC.

Man, do I get COD4 or Mass Effect, both look awesome and are potentially great games.OGTiago

dude cod4.....it will love longer coz of multiplayer, Mass Effect will be another Bioshock, once u beat it its over......and i forgot to say that Halo 3 is dying FAST....last week on Friday night there were 1.4 Million people playing Halo 3, this week at same time there were only 2,000,000 people playing.....Halo 3's multiplayer is overrated TBH

I think you all have a misunderstanding of what a 10 means. It does mean that the game is near perfect but it means that the game was made as well as it could have been made with the given technology and that the people behind the game did a great job. When compared to most other games side by side this is most likely going to be the superior game....that is if you compare this game with games being released around 2007. This is about as good of a buy for an fps game as you could get.

It would be a bad idea to score the games out of 9. If they try to score them on a scale of 1-9 what is the point? However, 1-5 will work but its the same thing as 1-10. The score of 10 doesn't mean its the greatest game ever made and no game can ever surpass it.

COD 3 and 4 are one of the greatest multiplayer games ever!!! (I'm basing COD 4 on the beta) I have to admit I wish cod4 had vehicules just like cod3 though... maybe for cod5 in 2250 on mars!!! lolusule

on an intresting note....BF3 is said to have the whole COD4 "soldier customazation" thing, but with 80 players per server and vehicals...and of course much larger maps.
