Software should be abbreviated as SFW in System Wars lol
And holy shit that's awful...but did that release anything?
It's not like EA actually released or supported Wii U games.
Uh What? That's all EA games including the recent releases since all of them are still selling in print.

You mean Most Wanted - which came very very very late ..tho at least with this one, they put work into it to make it better. Mass Effect 3?..did you even know what happen here?..they announce the Wii U version ..than a week later they announce trilogy (ME1, ME2, ME3) for PS3 & 360...for the same price/cheaper than Wii U's standalone Mass Effect 3..what did you think was gonna happen?...why would anyone get the Wii U version 1 game when you can get 3 games for similar/lower price? :P
When you release late, gimpy, or undersupported games while the same software is available elsewhere better and cheaper, people tend not to buy a lesser version.
That is a really terrible number. Nintendo should have made a system that was more powerful, easier to develop for, and got the final dev kits out sooner. Better marketing would have helped a ton close to/after release. At the same time, EA should have either gave their releases on Wii U equal treatment or not released them at all, because it seemed like they were deliberately trying to make their products be unappealing.
Who buys a Wii U to play EA games?
Who buys EA games at all?
Millions of people

Old titles yes, where I am in AU & the store I buy games, I've only seen Mass Effect 3, Fifa 13 ..Most Wanted no longer on shelf. Other titles are from Activision & Ubi. So what new titles/games have EA brought to Wii U? :P
You mean people are not buying copies of Mass Effect 3 Wii U editions and unfinished FIFA 13s??????
:´´(
Quite surprised, but really not knowing EA's support on the Wii U.
Reached 500 post requirement.
Congrats! ..now don't go crazy creating new threads. :P

A bunch of suckers
I love EA games and am not afraid to admit it.
Last gen I played and had a blast with a lot of EA games, I don't hate EA in the slightest. EA developed and/or published some of my favorite games, such as the Mass Effect and Dead Space trilogies. They also had other games I enjoyed to variable degrees, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Fight Night Round 3, the first couple Army of Two games, Dante's Inferno, Mirror's Edge, Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2, BF1943, BF3, BF4, Medal of Honor Airoborne, MoH (2010) and Warfighter, Titanfall, Crysis 2, Syndicate, Bulletstorm, NBA James, NFL Blitz I know it's fashionable to bash EA and, but damn they do make some fun games.
Sure, they're not without controversy, they ate a shit sandwich for the last Sim City release, as well as Sims 4. They get a lot of hate for micro-transactions, though my experience it's a non-issue for me. In Mass Effect 3 for instance you could buy MP upgrade packs with real world money, or simply earn them by playing the MP as it was meant to be played. In Dead Space 3 they had micro-transactions for weapon upgrades, though those same upgrades could be earned in game by simply utilizing the salvage bot. Or I remember the Battlefield titles got crap for allowing people access to weapons early if they pay. Sure, it's an unfair advantage on paper, I've personally never had an issue earnining/unlocking gear and leveling up my classes through simple in game earned experience. And unlocking weapons doesn't make one a better player, teamwork, playing the maps again and again, that amounts to more IMO. I've never felt DLC makes games unfair or that I'm missing something vital to the gaming experience. They got shit for pushing new game only MP passes, pre-order DLC; non issue for me, I don't buy used (unless absolutely necessary) and most pre-order DLC is absolutely worthless. And, thankfully, they do get crap for their sports franchises being being lighter and lighter on content as time goes by, and'or they do lazy upgrades to the roster only, yeah that does sound pretty shit I'll admit, but thankfully I'm not into their signature sport titles.

We all know it's Nintendo and sheep who don't support EA games....or any 3rd party dev for that matter. Countless devs have tried releasing games on the Wii U. None of them sold well.
Even the raved Bayonetta 2 with all its glowing reviews, had sales figures merely in the 6 digit region
Ah, just realized how misleading this topic is, it was only referring to this last quarter.
You wanna fix that?
Still trying to figure out what SW stands for >.< Having a mind block. Someone care to fill me in?
Software, probably.

In the tweet, he says Jan sales..... so didn't he meant 1600 WiiU software sold in January only? :/
@TigerSuperman: Yeah that sucks, but how many games are EA selling on the Wii U?
7 or 8?

No because it's literally for January. and considering this is NPD related well uh..

Are you talking about the Fifa 13 that was really Fifa 12 on the Wii and still sold a couple million?
Okay so
Really the 3rd Party offerings on WiiU is just abysmal and It hardly has anything to do with Nintendo. Just 3rd Parties giving Nintendo the good ol' Middle Finger for not catering to their needs.
WiiU's hardware is capable, but 3rd Parties don't want none of it. It's their way or the highway.
I'm shocked sales are that high for Jan this year. All the have released on Wii U is:
2012:
Madden NFL 13 (Can't even buy this on Amazon UK anymore).
Fifa 13
Mass Effect 3 (super late port and 1 + 2 aren't available on this or any Nintendo system).
2013:
Need For Speed Most Wanted (super late port again, doesn't seem Amazon UK even stock this themselves anymore although some Amazon traders have stock).
Nothing else for over a year it seems. Surprised they have sold anything at all considering.

I like how you say it's the console owners' fault for not buying crappy EA games, rather than EA's fault for failing to put a product on the market that they want to purchase.

You say this, yet until the end of 2013, they were actually trying in general. Well not EA I suppose. You had MAss Effect, Batman, COD, a few others, I'm assuming they all flopped since they all left.
@TigerSuperman: Why would people pay 60 dollars for Mass Effect 3 when none of the other games are available for the platform and the trilogy collection was right around the corner for the same price. Same deal with Batman. A late port for full price. Deus Ex? Same deal. Why buy Call of Duty if the game would not be supported with map packs?

Mass Effect 3 released around the same time as the full trilogy on other platforms. People could either pay $60 for ME3, or the same price for the full trilogy with extras. ME3 on Wii U also didn't have any DLC support and very weak patch support. I have it and there are still bugs. I seem to find a new one with every playthrough.
Batman Arkham City Armored Edition was a late port with performance issues. Game of the Year Edition for Arkham City was available on other platforms at the same time for a fraction of the price.
COD released without DLC support. Activision released bits and pieces of DLC for Black Ops II about a year after release.
Very, very few people are going to buy lesser versions of software when they can get the same thing, only better, on the system they already have. The only two games I can think of that had equal content/treatment are Assassin's Creed III and Just Dance 4. AC 3 sold pretty well(250,000) considering it was late.

Have you been follwing XBox One and PS4 games for the last few motnhs?
But anyway you have to realize all these games sold "ok" on the wii before they died so I mean. I highly doubt they got the sales to even support the platform.

How many people would end up complaining about that though? 10?
