Yeah. I saw it yesturday. Its a pretty bold statement and claim saying that hte PS3 version will outsell the 360 when the odds are clearly against teh PS3.

People like Patcher. I don't care about especially after last weeks video when he said he thought the drunk physics and driving was just wrong and stupid...

That in itself is a stupid comment to make above all other more important things.

He's been nearly spot on thus far.

I think the 360 will do better (especially with a pricedrop) ...... both will probably reach 350,000+ for April and May. The ps3 will probably take back June with MGS4 and the bundle.

In any case, I agree with the prediction. I do think the PS3 version will outsell the 360 version. Most casual gamers--the ones who will account for the vast majority of GTAIV sales--don't have any idea that the 360 version is getting exclusive DLC. Right or wrong, GTA is a franchise that is associated with the Playstation name.

GTA is a franchise that is associated with the Playstation name.

Its a stupid comment because he rules getting drunk and performing illegal activities while being drunk which are no more popular than what is performed in real life compared to the majority of bigger and worse things that go on both in real life and in the game.

And Which version of DMC 4 sold more again? A game that was never released on the original X Box.

Just because people can have opinions, do not mean that they cannot be wrong.

It will be interesting too see what happens!!? Casuals will always hold the balance of power.

That sounds highly likely to me.

I have to agree that GTA 4 will sell more hardware for the ps3 but 360 will have better software sales in NORTH AMERICA.

not really. the difference in the DMC4 sales was japan, not the world. the sales were pretty even in Europe, 360's favor in america, sonys favor in japan

It's part of that new cheaper PS3 package and it's the only PS3 game to go platinum in Europe purely off of preorders.

The real question is, if this happens, will MS (and especially lemmings) just blame the "shortages"?ZIMdoom

Every other major multiplat has sold twice as much worldwide on the 360. COD4, GH3, Madden, Assassins Creed on PS3 all got whupped by 360.

DMC is not a big franchise. not a good example.

Let's be clear about some things.

He's talking about hardware sales, not software. He says GTAIV will sell more on the 360, but more PS3's will be sold.

And, he's only talking, I think, about NA sales, not worldwide.

My opinion is it will be closer, but the PS3 still outsells the 360. Also, I think the sales of both will be lower.

Makes sense, most people view GTA as a Playstation game.

More 360 versions will most likely be sold. But like he said, I would bet that there are lot of people waiting to buy a console for this game.

Grant Turismo is crazy popular here in the UK. There's video panels showing adverts at pretty much every central London Underground station

Not really surprising. For Europe there's a rumoured GTA + PS3 bundle coming on April 29th. 360 will sell more copies of the game though, I can guarantee it. America is big and likes 360 games more.

I dont count DMC because it wont sell millions and millions like GTA. It'll move a few hundred K and thats it. Its not a casual game like the GTA series or wildly popular like the ones I listed.

75% of GTA4's sales will come from NA and that's the big reason the 360 version will sell twice as many copies as the PS3 version. No one cares where the game started.

Japan is moot when talking about GTA anyway. 100-200K is the best any GTA games have sold.
