Rest of the time is spent talking about television content, exclusive shows and how much of a good decision they made with dropping the kinect bundle and how well it's doing for them.

I don't remember cows complaining when Sony talked about TV and movies at E3 last year.

I thought an MS rep stated that this E3 was gonna be all about games. I figure they'd of learned from the criticisms of not being a gaming focused console that non-gaming features should probably be announced outside of E3.

If they go on about non-gaming features they'll get criticized heavy for it, even if they talk about it just a little bit the cow army of journalists and bloggers will jump all over it, nevermind if Sony said something about photo and music features on PS4 they'd get a free pass. It's a shitty gaming industry double standard but that's that.

MS doesn't want a repeat of last year, which honestly I believe they set themselves up for it announcing the $400 SKU, since they announced it ahead of time that gives Sony lots of time to react. All Sony has to do to make a repeat of last year is slash their price $10, then the post E3 bullet points is Xbox One still weaker, still more expensive, and has less exclusive games. Then they'll spend many months doing damage control trying to dispel that notion.

MS announced the Xbox One and talked about TV....everyone hated it.

MS came out swinging with X1 games last E3, a very successful MS E3 that most Xbox fans were happy with.

MS has stated that this E3, like the last one will be all about games

But despite that, they are going to show up and show all TV stuff.... how does that make sense.

Why would MS see what has failed, see what works, lie to us about it and then show up and give us more of what they know we don't want? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Patcher should feel bad for this article, and any Sony fanboy who's using this as an opportunity to hate needs to get their head out of their ass and realize it's BS. You can't jump on every MS hate train just because you're a Sony fan, they at least have to make sense.

i honestly think for ms to succeed at E3, they should show a lot of games while also not mentioning or giving much time to: Halo, gears, forza, madden, cod.

its time for a change, bring on new things. Don't keep going and relying on the past.

I think they will mention TV at least briefly. But I think they will show a lot of games. They may not exactly all be exclusive titles though.

It's worth noting Pachter didn't say it'd be all about TV, he saidhis "assumptions" are that it won't be 100% about games.

"I don't really think they'll spend as much time on games as most people at E3 would like them to, which would be 100% of the time. I think they're going to spend some time talking about original content on Xbox One that you can't get anywhere else, which means television program type content."

It's interesting though the reasons he gives for this. Mainly in that E3 is a highly covered event by non-gaming media groups who are likely going to write positive things about the Xbox One and relate to it in a way that they're viewership can appreciate.

It's amazing though Pachter's reputation for predictions, though on camera though he tends to appear a lot more thoughtful.

In other words Spencer bold faced lied. Sure because their public image can take that beating at this point.

That means they won't talk about TV much, except for that Halo project.

First E3 with Spencer seems promising.

Hopefully they show some Halo single player footage.

Halo 4 set sales records for a single console title.

Every company has its big pillar games.

Microsoft has Halo, GoW, Forza, etc

Sony has Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo, etc

Nintendo has, well, practically everything it releases lol.

But people still love these games.

Ignoring them would simply be stupid, plus we already know both MS and Sony will be discussing brand new IPs.

As for the original post, there is no way MS is going to be that stupid. They know how poorly their original unveiling went and went full 180 at last E3. A repeat of the unveiling would be unimaginable.
