Gears of war- some will disagree but i enjoyed halo2 single player and online much better then gears of war

if pdz was suppose to be a halo killer than GeoW is a halo killer no doubt

it should be a gears killer now even though its a tactical shooter

Yeah Gears of War is good but it was way overhyped.It just doesn't have the depth of other games.

It's up to personal preference. And Halo for PC is actually a disaster, haven't tried the second one, but the first was just so very mediocre.

Yes I am but I don't bash other games like you do.I don't go around saying Half-Life 2 or Battlefield 2 is garbage do I? like i said, halo2 was the best game xbox had... why didnt it sell "a ton of copies" on pc? there was no competition for halo2, 4 years ago on consoles... now that halo3s coming, and games like KZ2 and COD4 are here, people should see how bad of a run and gun autoaim game halo3 is... any real gamer would choose cod4 over halo3

Halo 2 is more than a good game it's a great game, just not the greatest like alot of people seem to beleive it is. It's almost like if most people discovered what online FPS were like when Halo 2 came out.

I found joy in FPSs when Halo came out. I never got into Doom or CS like my friends did, but Halo just showed me how enjoyable FPSscould be. After that, I went back and enjoyed the classics in all their glory.

Yeah Counter-Strike is always fun.

Not for a while, and even then halo is such a great game, this will defently top the first. And graphics are amazing.

If you played the Halo 3 Beta, you would know it requires skill.

Halo was quite possibly the first FPS to appeal to gamers outside the target demographic. It's not that it's easily accessible, or that it's much more simple than most game. The truth is it is not. Just because the Matrix is one of the most popular sci fi films of all time, does it make it any more worse than "hardcore" Ghost in the Shell, or Equilibrium? Of course not, and most people would say otherwise.

Honestly on Heroic/Legendary I find Halo just as difficult as Half Life on hard. And Halo 2's multi player requires skill. I use to say otherwise (and I've started saying so again since the Beta), but when a guy asked me to havematch with him, he told me all the tactics he was using and he completely owned me. But those tactics have gone down the drain since Halo 3 is much more akin to Halo 1's style of play.

I own and cherish both BF2 and UT2k4, but to say Halo is basic simply because it's a console game at heart is just pathetic.
