Is it just me or does like every game that comes out now usually gets a patch within a few weeks? I mean seriously, are developers getting lazy? Im not talking about multiplayer patches that fix online issues either. Im talking about huge patches that fix the whole game. Why dont they just delay the game and fix it before they ship it. Seems kinda lazy to me.

Games, no matter what, are released with problems, big or small. I think the important thing is that the developers realize this and release patches to try and fix the problems that are already there.

more issues do make it to the shelves (especially online issues) these days but as a whole patches are a good thing.

In the "old" days, bugs were fixed by fans or not at all.

they are getting patches because the developers have been given strict deadlines that in some cases are not moved, therefore, they they must release the product in its current state.
