A Wii would be the best to go with a PC methinks.

PC+PS3 gives you the largest library of quality games, from a universal critical standpoint.

I second the Wii suggestion. It has the most games with gameplay you won't likely find on the PC, and you can use the Wiimote to sync to your PC to play Crisis. Uber-cool. There are a ton of great Wii games you can play that you won't find any version of on PC. That is not as true of the other consoles. For my part, I'd say go Wii first, then PS3, then 360 - purely from the standpoint of game overlap.

I'd say:

- Pc for mature games

- Wii for pure happy fun

I still think that the ps2 is better than the ps3. I'd get both the 360 and Ps3 when they get cheap and have a decent amount of exclusives that will justify their purchase.

you like Nintendo games, then get a Wii.

It'd be wise, however, to wait for the E3 and see what the 3 companies have in store. It's in one month

Id say this is a no brainer for the PS3. All the Sony exclusives plus the console multiplats, and Bluray.

PC and PS3 IMO

- Getting a 360 while having a good PC is a waste of money since most "exclusive" games on 360 are also on PC (Left 4 dead 1&2, Gears of War, Mass Effect 1&2 , Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2 etc.)

- I cant give any good reason for the Wii but I have a wii, a Ps3 and a Awesome PC and my Wii isnt being used at all...

not true. There are many multiplats titles that are not on Pc, so your xbox 360 also compensates the lack of those.

are you an avid gamer? get all of them

are you an occasional gamer? stick with a console and if you're happy, stay with it.

Man don't worry, all that matters is you have fun :) If you a 360 or whatever, don't worry there is still plenty of games on it you won't find on PC!

I've got the PC+wii combo going on and I love it. You get an insane amount of diversity in games and of course nintendo's killer 1st party titles. (I've been a shermit as long as I can remember) If you for some reason just really don't want a wii I would go PC+PS3 because there is more overlap between PC and 360 than PC and PS3.

Super Paper Mario

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Metroid: The Other M

Wario Land Shake It

New Zelda

Okay, I like Nintendo exclusives as you can see, but I'm afraid they'll get boring playing the usual franchises all the time.

aleuni

Any console will be fine

If you like RPGs and adventure, then 360 is better with Fable 3and Alan Wake

If you like short action titles PS3 is for you

And if you hate to play games, get a Wii

Tough choice, but I'm going with PC and Wii for now. I must have been living under a rock for a while because I recently bought a bunch of awesome Wii games that I barely knew existed a week ago. There's some real gems on that system that are a far cry from anything on PC (unless you use that Wii emulator, but expect compatibility issues). PS3 is my second pick, but I've blown through many of the exclusives on that system and I've found that most lack replay value considering I'm not a fan of online multiplayer (with exceptions).

I'm a PC and Wii gamer and very happy with the games I can play. Wii has the crazy wacky fun games with great local multiplayer while the PC has the mature and more serious titles. Great combination in my opinion :)

the Pc has also a nice amount of nice indie games. I think it's the best platform overall, although the "big" games are a console thing.

The upcoming is looking to be interesting for all the systems.

I bought Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies, Monster Hunter Tri, Red Steel 2 and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories last week and I plan to get No More Heroes 2 a bit later. I've finished Silent Hill which was an awesome game, definitely better than the previous few games in the series and a great asset to the genre. Sin and Punishment is one of the best Shoot 'em Ups I've played, every section of that game was masterfully designed and brimming with creativity, though it's difficult in later stages. Monster Hunter Tri is addictive, I've already sunk 30 hours into that game and I can see no end in sight. Red Steel 2 is a massive improvement from the original and it showcases that FPS's can be done well on the Wii. All in all I've had my Wii since 2007 and this is the first time I've felt I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

We have a Wii and PS3 in addition to gaming PCs. I'd like an XBox 360. But, my family still have the mindset that consoles should be Japanese. The RRoD didn't exactly help make the 360 a choice for them either.

yep as most xbox 360 games overlap with those on the PC (e.g. Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction)

Yes, Wii has only 4 games i can recommend (Muramasha, Zelda TP, Little King Story, Okami), two of which play better on other systems !!!

So, has just 2-4 actual games, very few comparing to both 360 and PS3

Also has only 3 games to look for, Xenoblades, Last Story and an new Zelda, all of which will have the usual horrid visuals and god knows when will be released, Zelda does not even exist yet tbh

I elaborated

PC+Wii = Total number of different games.

PC+PS3 = Total number of great games.

PC+360 = Redundant
