[QUOTE="phatrawk"][QUOTE="Ultra-BEN27"] I'm not bashing hermits here, but it's a point i'm making about gaming on PC's
Well a coworker went to buy a MAC and the salesman said why would you invest in a 1000$ - 2000$ - 3000$ machine for gaming when PS3 & Xbox are made just for that purpase and costs 300 - 500$??
I mean it can, but PC's aren't made for that!
Gaming on PC's makes them use their parts at it's peak all the time and evenutally overusing them!
I was a PC gamer last-gen and enjoyed BF 1942 & UT2K4 but i'm a graphic designer now and i only use it now for my work!

Well, the Cell processor and BluRay weren't made for gaming, and yet here we have the PS3.
Seriously, is it that time of the month again for insecure console fanboys? Why is June 18, 2008 "Hate on PCs Day"?
Insecure fanboys?Look whos talking...
Cell Processor was created specifically for the PS3, a gaming console, so yea...your wrong there...
The thing with the processor is the architechture of it is allot different from the normal processors and such found in a gaming console...
Blu-Ray wasn't made for gaming, DVD wasn't made for gaming, what's your point lemming?
And graphics chips weren't made for consoles, they were made for pc's, since that's where they all started...
And ever since the home computer was made games were on there, that's where games started TC, so your wrong, without the pc there would be no games...before there was such a thing as a console which came out in the 80's in the 70's home computers had video games, pc's always have and always will be the most advanced when it comes to anything...whether it be games, communication, everything...
Easy now, how do you know I'm a lemming? In fact, I don't own an XBox anymore (never owned a 360 either). Just because I used the PS3 as a counter-example, doesn't mean I was infering it was a bad system. Since you're being so aggressive...
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but the Cell was not intended solely for the PS3, the PS3 just happens to be the first commercial implementation. It was in fact a joint project between Sony, IBM, and Toshiba. Jeez, a simple Google search would have informed you of this, or even a lazy Wikipedia search.
