God id never want to play it on a keyboard, i bought dmc 3 for pc before I bought my ps3 and had a 360, it was so horrible, I couldnt get past the ceberus boss on easy mode, it was horrific, then I sold my 360 and bought a ps3 and then bought it for that and was one of my favourite games to date, sorry but I could get it for pc if I wanted to buy controls = crap
[QUOTE="jrpgliker"][QUOTE="RevenMan"]If its anything like dmc3 and resident evil 4 on the pc you will be getting yet another crappy port.
kaos-hero
don't worry, capcom already confirmed dmc4 is made on PC, then ported to xb360, ps3.
not a joke. capcom dmc devs already confirmed. and pc version would support xb360 controller as standard . (if you've palyed crisis, pec2008, lostplanet.....on pc)

I wonder how well it will be optimized. The controls don't bother me much as I have a controller anyway. _Pedro_That's the only real issue for these ports - optimisation. Controller problems are a thing of the past now, you need only look to Crysis, Gears of War, DiRT, Lost Planet to see that 360 controller is having a standardisation effect.

PES2008 is indeed a great example of a game which is ported to the PC without losing the major gameplay mechanics and performance. Something which EA Sports should learn from, FIFA 2008 on the PC is nothing like it's console counterparts.

Well Ive played FIFA08 on the 360 and while hugely imrpoved it has a LOONG way up to meet PES...
FiFA08 on the PC is just a PS2 port... EA has its brains too overblown of piracy fear that they dont want to get into PC...but I believe that they are more afraid of competition...PES2008 on PC has 100% full licenses and kitserver and lodmixer both that make the graphics 10 times better so both EA's advantages are lost...

Maybe they can play the game better with a controller. I don't know about you but if I went into Crysis online and did decent with a controller but did horrible with kb/m I would stick with a controller. kb/m isn't for everyone specially for people who play console games most of the time and play PC games very rarely.
Anyways DMC4 like RE4 and DMC3 will just prove that some genres are just better left to consoles, as some PC genres are better left to PCs (like RTS).

Ahh, the naivety is strong with this one. Let's all forget the existence of USB controllers (In particular the Microsoft USB Controller that is Identical to the X360 controller).Rofl have fun playing DMC4 on a keyboard.

I feel the same way about these action hack'n'slash games or whatever they are, as most console gamers feel about strategy games, meaning I have zero interest in them. But if it's well done I still might pick it up if just to see what all the fuss is about.EntwineX
My feelings exactly

As you know, we did originally plan to have this title just on PS3, but actually the development was done on a PC, not on a particular console. So because it's all done on the PC... it makes it very easy to move it put it on the 360 and use the power of that machine, or to put it on the PS3 and use the power of that machine, each in different ways. It's really pretty easy to do it, developing it from this PC base.
