Which one?
Both fun enough from what I played but I dont think I could sit through both games on console. Graphics/draw distance/pop-in/settings and performance on PS3 was a drag.
I'm comfortable waiting for GTAV to drop later this year and playing the game at 1440 with max settings and high FPS and maybe a mod or two.
None of them interest me . What make things worse is low res/frame rates , pop ins , less draw distance and long loading times on consoles . Specially GTA V .
After reading the title , I thought this poll will be about PS4 hardware/Games vs Xbox One hardware/Games . Lol .
How would we know, we have neither? ;)
That being said, I never liked the GTA games (bought 4 and predictably got burned) and RDR is very much the same thing.
I suppose RDR wins by default due to not featuring driving in the tradtional sense of the word.
I do enjoy sandbox games like Infamous, just not the GTA formula.
GTA5. I haven't touched the multiplayer in months. I will check it out again when the heists arrive. Whenever that is.
Flamebait poll, but I played both of the games. RDR > GTA 5, story-wise. GTA 5 > RDR at everything else.

lol, right?! Most pc gamers are into games enough to put a fair amount of money into a gaming setup...fact of the matter is most probably own a $200-$300 console that will last 5 years as well, they just prefer the pc.

Pretty much. Although, I sold my 360 after I finished GTA5 and I still didn't buy PS4, so I'm currently console-free. But I almost always had at least one console to play along with my PC, which is my primary gaming platform.
I never finished RDR so it obviously didn't click with me, and I think GTA V looks bad and I wouldn't touch it even if it was ported to PC decently; not everybody likes those games.

People assume I hate pc. I don't, but I'm actually considering selling or giving away my ps4. I'm waiting for E3. I bought it on the assumption of Naughty Dog and Uncharted, but I've heard numerous people are leaving ND. I just think more and more games are coming to pc which never really did before--I was actually surprised MS let Titanfall hit pc. WiiU is honestly the only console I feel is a must own right now if you are a real fan of videogames.
I'm torn between them, both have memorable missions, both have awesome characters, and both pulled my strings in different ways
Oh wait... this was supposed to be flamebait to get hermits angry? I'm sorry :) some of us hermits actually get to play games regardless of the platform ;)
@SolidGame_basic: I can play Deus Ex: human revolution, Borderlands 2, the FEAR trilogy, Half Life 2 (game of the decade), and the Bioshock series, so nope... I'm not missing out much by not having just 2 games on my platform

Keep your PS4. I would. There'll be shitload of great games for it, I'm sure. Post-launch of every console gen always sucked, so nothing new at that department. I waited 3 years before I bought 360, and I'll probably do the same with PS4.
None. I have the opportunity to buy either game for my PS3. But, I'm not a big fan of the settings for both (Old West and gangbanger).
Far Cry 3 sets the standard for me. We'll see what Cyberpunk 2077 will bring.
Edit:
As far as open-world....The only game that is literally open-world is Flight Simulator X. I could circumnavigate the Earth if I wish. All other games are really just sand boxes (Far Cry 3 included) of varying sizes.
Probably GTA V but couldn't play them for long since the poor screen resolution made my eyes bleed :/
But I guess that's console gaming for ya.
LOL Console peasants.
RDR is my favorite game from last gen. Lol if you think that some how pc gamers missed those games. Like we don't have consoles. Silly consolites, just because you are foolishly married to one plastic box doesn't mean that the rest of the world is. If you are only gaming on console in 2014 you lost.
I managed to play GTAV through until it was over. I can't say the same for RDR. Interprete that however you want.
@Sweenix
How are PC gamers supposed to answer that question? Both GTA V and RDR are console games; wouldn't it make more sense to ask console gamers?

You're forgetting that every pc gamer owns a console even though they spent 99.99% of the time saying how crap it is. lol
Unfortunately, I've only played RDR, which has a good story once it picks up but there are some definite slow parts and the quest/mission system doesnt make a whole lot of sense these days. Also, the voice acting is very hit or miss, some of the characters are great (the grave robber), but some are awful (bonnie); even john marston's lines sound pretty stilted.
I'm a pc gamer i own a console. I played them both, they were okay, for console games though over rated.
