From the 2nd article:
"Currently compatible with Windows XP and Vista, the firm claims it will work with all games based on Microsoft's DirectX8, 9 and 10, including new releases such as FIFA 08 and BioShock."
This isn't going to be what it's being billed as. The hardware still has to be able to run it, it's just streaming the code to a machine. In order to run Crysis, the machine will still need to be able to run DX10 and have the specs to support Crysis. Even worse, the programs will likely need to go through a layer of emulation as DX is a MS API and the PS3 OS will be a version of Linux.
Not many current games will be able to run on the PS3 through this.
Cool, thi smeans people can enjoy Crysis for thousands less.Re5ident_Evil
you still need the pc. you realize this doesn't mean you play pc games on a ps3. the ps3 just acts like a converter to display on your tv. i don't see the purpose unless you don't have a vga port on the back of your tv but have a ps3. that's on expensive converter which a $200 buck linux pc can do the same.
