Nah, seriously that's not the point of this thread. The point of this thread is I'm curious as to certain habits of Playstation and Xbox 360 owners in regard to PC gaming as a platform and the Wii, which serves as the counterpoint to the PC.

1. Why is being hardcore good on the Playstation and Xbox 360 in comparison to the casual Wii, yet if the PC is bought up it's too hardcore and they have no life?
2. Why is having graphics like Crysis on the PC a bad thing due to cost and PC gamers are a bunch of graphic whores, yet having graphics like the Wii also happens to be a bad thing as graphics are so damn important?
3. Why is the cost of the PC a problem, yet the cost of the Playstation 3/Xbox 360 in comparison to the Wii isn't?
4. Finally, why is having the best online on the PC always totally ignored by Xbox Live fans?
5. Why are MMOs considered the joke of PC gaming, when they're so damn awesome? :(
6. Why is having the largest market share, and the second largest growth rate means that it's in decline?
7. Why are shooters being the cornerstone of the PC market a bad thing, yet in regards to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360... two of your biggest games this year is a shooter and the biggest games are also shooters, such as Uncharted and Halo 3.

it's simple. the majority of people regard PC gaming as some kind of expensive, millionaire nerdfest who spend 80 hours a week on WoW and stuff like that. while we see console game adverts on TV the whole time, there are rarely, if ever any PC games on TV. consoles are hip and popular, and get all the attention, whereas PC gaming is "quieter" and a less renowned platform. sure everypne knows about PC gaming, but why bother when there are consoles which look much more fun (let's face it, a PC looks tremendously boring and nerdy no matter how many neon strips are in it) and cooler?crunchUK
