PC Gaming does **** it lacks IPs with unique plots/settings Consoles FTW!!!!

As a hermit I've finally seen the light and have realized PS3 is the ultimate gaming platform. Any PC game that actually has a big budget game is a crappy MMO. All the talented devs that have been working on PC suck as BioWare, Crytek, ID, Epic Games, CD Projekt Red, DICE, Infinty ward, Bethseda, etc all have went consoles cause they actually make money their. All PC gaming has now is $5 games made by nobodies who are talentless hacks.

Funny considering it was PC gaming that pretty much pioneered everything console gamers now take for granted, and still is better than the consoles in terms of customization, options, mods, vast library of titles, and sheer freedom to do what you want.

Well the consoles better have some exclusives because there is no other reason for me to own them. I virtually would never play a multiplatform game on my consoles. PC covers about 85 to 90% of my gaming needs and the consoles are good for a handfull of exclusives.

PC has alot of good games.

All platforms are good.

The deciding factor is taste, and which mix of games you need access too.

360 is the only platform that can play L4D, Witcher, Minecraft, RDR, Enslaved, Vanquish, etc

Other platforms can play some of them, but no platform plays all of them except the 360.

To my taste its library is second to none.

And it makes a pretty good HTPC for multiplats, probably the best you can get for the money.

PC has alot of good games, Civilization and WoW being some of my favorites.

On a serious note, I think we'll see the death of the 3rd party exclusives in the near future and the high-budget "AAA" type games will focus on the consoles. Noone is paying Crytek, id, DICE, Bethesda and the like to keep their games exclusive to one platform and if they can make a buck on multiple platforms, why shouldn't they? Surely not just to please some hermits who (illegally) download most of their games anyway...

So are the console exclusives mentioned depending on the crowd you mention them to. for example: When I played Halo Reach at a friend's house last New Year's Eve, I casually mentioned Killzone 3 to my friend's kid. He had no clue what Killzone 3 was (probably because he games mostly on the 360 and Wii).

You mention many of the console games on the list to the average person on the street and they wouldn't know what many of those games are.

Civ V and HoMM VI niche? wtf are you smoking?! Those 2 games are GENRE defing Turnbased Strategy games, and with Firaxes track record X-COM: Enemy unknown will be another Genre defining game (along with Xenonaughts). The only reason Ubisoft hasn't brung HoMM to consoles is they think there isn't a market. And I would say are wrong, but I know deep down they are right.

Console gamers deserve the rigtht to have a Heroes Game. Even if it's just a HoMM 3 proted to console.

Also Crusader Kings 2 will get very popular very fats due to the Game of Thrones mod (the game never needed the really, it already was a game of thrones game due to how it played).

That's the thing. Where do you draw the line? You really can't because of the different audiences.

I like posting my own stuff. My tastes are obviously skewed. But, there's more variety to PC gaming than what my tastes reflect.

Lol wow, PC owns Sony/MS in both, the amount of people playing it as well as the popularity. Only Nintendo has a chance on popularity. Just think about Wow, Facebookgames like Farmville or Sims Social, Sims in general, ...
