Pc gaming has ruined consoles for me.

I used to hate pc gamers, I was a console only gamer and always had been. Always posting there crisis pics in every graphics discussion even when it included only the 360/ps3. Now I see what all the fuss was about, after playing games like Crisis, deadspace, gearspc etc............ I go back to play a ps3 game and I think there is something wrong with my settings everything looks like crap, demons souls that the reviews said looked great, was unclear and washed out. Sf4 on pc looks better then any thing the 360/ps3 has to offer. I just got Rc a cradck in time, I remember when tools of destruction wowed me a few years ago, this game looks like a ps2 game. There are a few games that look good but for the most part everything looks sp dated. All of these hidden "POWER" treads need to stop, there is no hidden power in dated under powerd hardware. I will be looked at as a elitest jerk because thats what I used to think but I will never not have a gaming pc ever again, to bad pc seems to be getting all ports these days.

when it comes to graphics pc always wins. But Consoles have amazing first party games.

I've never really been able to play FPS games on consoles and enjoy it compared to the PC. I've always found it annoying how slow and inaccurate targeting is compared to a keyboard and mouse. Once I get use to it I end being better than I am on the PC because console FPS games are usually slower paced.

Killzone 2 would have been amazing on the PC though.

Well there is much more to PC gaming than just graphics. Dedicated servers, mods, any input device (not just m/kb), higher FPS, Steam, and plenty of other things. I keep my PS3 and Wii to play their exclusives, but eveything else I get is for the PC. I wish everyone was a PC gamer that had a console or two to complement the PC.

huh, I have the opposite reaction when i play Uncharted 2, Demon Souls and Ratchet and Clank. I am always impressed by the graphics and i dont think about my pc or pc games at all.

Graphic differences are minimal for multiplats, to really take advantage of pc hardware you have to design an exclusive for it like Crysis. Last generation I would have agreed with you but this gen bumping up the res doesn't do much when the 3D models and textures are designed for consoles. There are gametrailer comparison videos that show this.

Have fun being a pc elitist. I personally think pc gaming is overrated and nothing to feel special about but if you need the added security then go ahead and enjoy whatever ego boost you can get from it.

Like you said, to each his own. I do think you are wrong about MOST games being supported by the 360 controller. This is false, there are plenty that do not. Personally I don't think the graphical differences are enough to make me buy the PC version. Maybe it would make a difference if more of my friends were gaming on the PC, but they do not. Most of my friends are on the 360/ps3. I also prefer the 360 controller for FPS games. I don't hate PC gaming though, just prefer consoles. Crysis was great (the 360 controller worked great with it). I enjoy L4D on the PC(also use a 360 controller with it and also love it on the Xbox 360), and just started playing the Witcher. One advantage I do enjoy about PC gaming is my gaming laptop. So far it has run everything I've thrown at it (Crysis, Warhead, L4D2, Witcher, etc..) and it is convenient on those slow work days.

Advid-Gamer,....thats just horrible...if you care so much why focus in on PS3 exclusives? Just because PC has higher visual resolution doesnt mean anything,because itdoes not truly determine graphic fidelity for games generally...all it does is give a crisp image and less jaggies are formed. Also stop bashing R&C ACIT, you know it looks great so why bother trying to use it as an irrelevant example? Why not use haze?

Really? I thought KZ 2 was one of those shooters that wouldn't do well on the PC because of the controls and how heavy the character feels :?

Regardless, I agree with you. Most PC FPS games are just on a whole different level.

PC gaming is the best...well used to be, for me anyways....but it wasn't the graphical aspect... It has the largest collection of my favorite genre: point and click adventures for the winnnnnn. they don't make them like these anymore :cry:

Also, digital distribution doesn't exist either. Steam, Direct2Drive, and GOG have never existed for years and never will exist.
