Here's a LAN event in Sweden. Love to see this happen with 360 or PS3

They do have lives: they're getting together and meeting new people while playing PC games. We, on the other hand are commenting on how people lack lives on an message board.supernerdgamer convention ftw!
Console gamers had other plans, like having a life.
Phacet
That. Looks. So. FUN! I would love to go to one of those and have a game like CS:S or TF2. Or BF2142.

cant do that on the pc no siry bob nor can you use a controller nor can you use an hdtv
if that is sarcasm, its much more a pain in the arse (ass for incorrect english) setting up your pc and changing certain options and switching between controller or kb/mouse then it is for me to turn on my 360/Ps3 and just play a game with no hassles.if that is sarcasm, its much more a pain in the arse (ass for incorrect english) setting up your pc and changing certain options and switching between controller or kb/mouse then it is for me to turn on my 360/Ps3 and just play a game with no hassles. smartcriminal

i have used it, my first Call of duty game was Call of duty 2 on the pc, and while it was fun i still prefer console gamingYes I imagine console gamers are steroid junkies with three girlfriends and the athletic record of Jesse Owens. Brean24
I didn't need steroids to look this good, thankyou.
I only have 1 girlfirend, and 1 suga mama, so let's say only 2.
Idk who jesse owens is, but i'd accept any physical test against anyone here. And win.

Like installs? Like updates? Like changing the settings of the console to match my TV when I get it? Aww I love not being able to stop the framerate dips in AC2! I also love how console gamers like to put down how much of a hassle a console gaming is. With PS3 I have to pop in the disc, install, update then play. With PC I have to pop in the disc, install then play, bu bu bu PC is more hassle  , not to mention if I buy it off steam I skip steps 1 and 2 and a trip to the store!!

You mean when i hooked up my Pc to my HDTV and played around till i go it to fit screen properly so it looked decent. And then go and buy a wireless keyboard and mouse. And then Sit back on the couch and use the keyboard and mouse to open the game and then go in and change settings which are appropriate to my graphics card, and then change the control settings if i want to use a controller (i cant use keyboard and mouse for crap, i prefer controller). Not to mention installing the game first hand Its way easier to use a console then a Pc[QUOTE="smartcriminal"]i have used it, my first Call of duty game was Call of duty 2 on the pc, and while it was fun i still prefer console gaming washd123
ok? youre preference has nothing to do with your ignorance.
you calim its so hard. its no different than using a monitor.
On your desk with your pc sure its easy. In the lounge where your gear is on one end and your on the other. the misses also wouldn't allow me to have a keyboard and mouse there. So i just think its easier to use a console, that and i hate playing with keyboard and mouseOn your desk with your pc sure its easy. yes i have an hdtv on my desk.
no i have an hdtv in my livingroom and my pc is right next to it, you know exactly where the console would be
also its my gaming device so it boots up to steam automatically and all i have to do is select the game with the mouse, i dont even need the keyboard. and then i play with a controller for most games.
no different than having a console next to the tv and having to put a disk in.

 , wait you mean change the resolution?? EXACTLY what I had to do on my PS3 and 360?? Omg did you complain about using a mouse and KB to open the game? Seriously? And seriously games have an auto setting feature, they have been in PC games for god knows how long, you don't have to change a single thing, and finally, you do realise most games with controller support auto detect them right? Especially the 360 controller.. you don't have to change a single thing.

u play controller for most, i play controller for all. How long does the graphics card last? I dislike windows (only use it for storage ) I love the Ps3 exclusives, i can play the pc games on the 360. Anyway u like pc i like consoles and for me that is never going to change[QUOTE="smartcriminal"]

My first tv had a res of 1368X7 whatever so whenever i hooked it up no matter what setting i had it on it would either leave black bars in there or the picture would be oversized, so i would have to play with some htz settings and some other settings in the ATI catalyst. And for using a kb/mouse yes i do complain, especially when all i do on the ps3 and 360 is push a button to launch a game.u play controller for most, i play controller for all. i could for all. do you have that choice? nope
and my graphics card will last me as long as i want it to. my old gpu from 06 still plays games at about the same settings as the consoles. i simply decided to not settle and got a new one. i didnt have to, the old gpu was perfectly fine i just chose to.
im not saying you should like the pc just dont be so ignorant of it.

Not to mention installing the game first hand Its way easier to use a console then a PcIt's not simpler to use a console, period. EVERYTHING you mentioned only has to be done ONE time. If it only needs to be done once, it's not a hassle, period. It's absolutely pathetic that console gamers can only think of one time things to claim that PC gaming is complicated.
There's no way around switching disks with consoles. i have to wait and dl an update pretty regularly with consoles. Like someone mentioned earlier, I can't fix any framerate issues with console games. When a game absolutely blows using a controller, there's nothing I can do about it because I'm forced to use a controller.
Sorry, double clicking an icon is all I do to play my games, it absolutely does not get any simpler than that.
I sincerely hope your joking.[QUOTE="Brean24"][QUOTE="smartcriminal"] The chick of desperate housewives yeah? if so i would give her a go or do you mean cause she has man hands? Cause she would make my tinkler look like a french fry in her handsmartcriminal

He said Nicole Sheridan, not Nicollette Sheridan.
PC gaming still has a niche. It is pretty much dead as a mainstream video game system.
DarthBilf
Add up all console gamers....still doesn't equal the # of PC gamers.
PC is also the most profitable platform.
If anything, 360/PS3 are much more niche than PC gaming. PC gaming has by far the most variety from the hardcore competitive shooters to MMO's to casual games like the Sims.
The popular 360/PS3 games all come from a select few genre's and there's basically zero creativity on consoles....especially when compared to PC's.
So dead infact it has one of the most popular games on it for the past 5 years with its own monthly fee in fact.. That being said, as a pc gamer I would never go to one of those.. They look uncomfortable as hell.PC gaming still has a niche. It is pretty much dead as a mainstream video game system.

when was pc ever mainstream?
When a litlte old game called Doom was released on it..if that is sarcasm, its much more a pain in the arse (ass for incorrect english) setting up your pc and changing certain options and switching between controller or kb/mouse then it is for me to turn on my 360/Ps3 and just play a game with no hassles.[QUOTE="smartcriminal"][QUOTE="washd123"]

Dude just get a better chair and stop complaning.
to add on to this, the only annoying part about moving my pc downstairs is moving my pc downstairs :D
to hook it up, all i needed to do was put in blue cable to tv, put in power supply, put in keyboard, put in mouse (or in my case since i love playing nba 2k10, use wireless 360 controller) and boot it up.
Only difference is start up time takes longer.... when compared to my wii. when compared to my 360, all i get is errors before i decide not to play.
When a litlte old game called Doom was released on it.. sSubZerOo
yeah but even then pc gaming wasnt mainstream it was still reservered for 'nerds'
while console were for everyone and their mother. no pc commercials only console.
idk i never saw the pc as a mainstream gaming platform.
and dont take that the wrong way not mainstream doesnt mean it isnt popular or the biggest platform

Haha, are you serious.
PC's have video outputs. I use my HDTV as my monitor all the time.
Slap a wireless keyboard and mouse together on one of those breakfast tables, and i'm lying on the couch too.
Not to mention that PC's have had joysticks, steering wheels, and controller's forever.
