PC Gaming slightly overrated can't tell difference between 4k and 1080p or 60 fps vs 30 fps

So I rebought FF12 REmastered on PC and the difference is barely anything at all, GTA 5 looked a lot better but some of these games I can't tell the difference at all. And the PS4 version has better guides walkthroughs and PC uses different Seeds and its harder to get the end game items cause less people are playing it.

THeres no real good games out for PC lately and PS4 just had castlevania requiem and some other goodies.

PC seems very overrated right now IMO and PS4 is the best right now for your money. Can't tell a big difference between the 2 better strategy guides for ps4, bigger communities.

GarGx1 its true though FF12 looks great on my 1440p 21:9 widescreen monitor but its not night and day difference between my regular ps4 version its simply just very similiar.

I don't even notice the frames and I sorta notice the resolution.

@ProtossRushX: Zodiac Age is remaster of a 12 year old game it should be exactly the same on every platform. You not being able to see a difference between 30fps and 60+fps is your issue.

So I've been playing Destiny 2 at 60fps (or above) for the last week. The D2 reddit had a huge post about how 30 to 60 fps isn't a huge deal. I just wanted to see exactly how wrong they were, so I capped my game to 30 fps. I had to change it minutes later, It was fucking night and day. That shit was an unplayable mess.

Anyone who says they can't see a large difference must visit an optometrist. I'm not even insulting you, I'm honestly concerned about your well being.

Nothing like playing the substantially worse version of of most games, having 130 less high scoring games, and having essentially no online compared to PC.

There is a massive difference between 1080P and 4K, but the games needs the assets to show it off, not every game benefits equally from the res upgrade.

It's pretty much the best fore casual, core, and hardcore all in 1. Probably why it has far more players than each other system.

The vast majority of sales for BF5 will be console. It is a console built game. The graphics are practically indiquinishble.

Most PS4 games do look better. The PC hasn't had any blockbusters in about a decade. The closest thing is Star Citizen, which won't run on most pc's, and is arguably a scam. Extremely expensive.

God Of War 4. Uncharted 4. Last Of Us 2. Ghost of Tsushima. Spiderman.

The PC has nothing approaching these. All it has is enhanced console ports, or console built games, for consoles.

And yes, I am correct. Actual pc games, ones that flourish, tend to be £10 - £20 that can easily run on laptops.

PC makes up most of the top 50 best looking games. PS4 has 3-4 games sprinkled in that list.

BFV on PC looks better than all of those. As does FC5, TRR, ACU, ACO, BF1, BattleFront, Witcher 3, etc. It's endless.

If you can't tell a difference between 30 and 60 fps, you're simply not looking hard enough. 30 fps constantly feels like it's struggling to pull a heavy weight behind it. Playable? Perfectly, but compared to 60 fps? 60 feels unburdened and unrestricted. The game has room to breath and is smooth as silk.

I mean you're literally lying though. The GFX are not indistinguishable. The game was made for PC as well, not just a port.

PC definitely has better graphics...for like the 5 games a year that it’s a drastic distinction and only for the small percentage that have high powered gaming rigs.

BFV, FC5, and such other big titles that are AAA and few and far between look better on PC.

But like I said there’s like 5 or so a year at best where there’s a huge difference.

You realize that there are a plethora of AAA multiplats to play, right? I solely use my consoles for exclusives, so my PC gets by far the most play time. Opposite to last-gen, as I stopped upgrading my PC and the 360 got all my multiplat time.

Na, PC has 0 blockbusters any-more. They are all on console or merely ported to PC with lower sales, sometimes delayed to avoid piracy damage. In Red Deads case, never ported. And that's a company who started out on PC.

Uh....literally the biggest games of the last few years, PUBG, Overwatch, and Fortnite, were created primarily for PC and a PC created genre..

These are multiplayer games only. Far less risk from piracy than single player experiences that cost millions of dollars. PUBG isn't finished. Not proper Blockbusters.

PC gets multiplatform games build for a console audience. These aren't PC games. They're console ports. Aside from all these, consoles also get exclusive blockbusters on top of that.

Which makes the game harder and also changes the stats and properties of weapons/armor/magic/abilities to make gameplay a little bit more tactical, plus new license boards for each individual character based on their known canon, while still being able to choose a non canon one for each character and even repeat boards, you get two variants for each, one makes the game harder by making it mostly linear and blocking parts of its advancement via espers/quickenings, the other one is more traditional and espers/quickenings are on the edges blocking stuff that might be useful but not vital to the overall build. Also Trial mode has been made harder and it's loot-steal-poach tables have been changed so that you cannot cheese the game by going into it and get powerful equipment early on, you can still use it to grind for some random items and LP but now the rewards are more balanced with the amount of effort it takes. Also Espers have been changed to make them more appealing to use in combat, in vanilla there really is no reason to ever use espers outside of some specific strategies you can use on certain boss battles.

If you still want to cheat, using cheat engine is way faster on PC than those pseudo-RNG healing/damage lists you have to use on consoles.

PC simply isn't worth the investment for single player games unless they have a lower budget. Even then, as demonstrated by Pillars Of Eternity 2, these can fail, pushing a developer towards MIcrosoft, who will allow them to produce AAA games for consoles, that will most likely sell in the millions.

Just the nature of the beast. Too many pirates on pc for the risk. Ports cost less. Consoles make the meat.
